Food was great. Lots of good food options. I ate here at lunch and enjoyed my meal. I won’t say it was anything spectacular, but I would eat here again. Fried okra was pretty good. That was my first time trying it.

Breakfast burrito was plain and not tasty, pancakes were good, eggs were a little overcooked. Bacon was almost not bacon. Really unsure what they were using, but unlike any bacon I've ever seen. Completely flat and hard, red, almost tasted like bacon, but not really. Folgers coffee, Styrofoam plates and $1.00 to get a soda refill.

My boyfriend and I have eaten here a lot and are NEVER disappointed. All of the food is made to order and there's something on the menu for everyone. Everything is really clean. Sam is great and always friendly. Also make sure to pick up a quick sweet treat from the front of the store! His wife makes them and they're so good. Do not pass up this place on Main Street. You won't find the food quality and portions anywhere else downtown for better prices than at Sam's.

I was highly disappointed in my food today. I had been getting the chili dog it has been pretty good. I tried spaghetti and meatballs and I must say it wasn't good. This restaurant used to great food but I guess u can't win them all.

I really really hate giving a local spot less than 5 stars, but this place is just okay. First, it has the weirdest, off-putting smell. The food is bland, everything from a freezer, not seasoned at all. We've tried several different dishes, including breakfast. It really has potential and I want to be a regular, but it's fine.
We stopped here yesterday for breakfast. The owner was lovely. A great choice of food on the menu. What we could call a greasy spoon cafe back in the UK. The food was simple, tasty and cooked to order. We both had the french toast breakfast, absolutely delicious, piping hot and really reasonably priced. As other have said it's a no fuss place with plastic plates, cutlery etc, but it is definitely worth a visit.

At 9:30am on a Monday, I was the only person in the building- except the 1 employee. He said they were open, so I came in. But he was just turning on the griddles/fryers. I was hoping it was a secret whole in the wall that would be an unexpected delight. That was not the case. The interior smells weird and is not pleasing to the eye. I should've turned around. The lack of clientele should have been a sign. We ordered breakfast, and it took forever. It's all made to order and he was the only one working. Coffee was ok but not many options to put in it. Also beware- Only turkey bacon/sausage. No pork! That was a bummer. I should've left. The breakfast was just ok. hash browns were like frozen patties dropped in the fryer. Like McD. No thanks. Pancakes were decent tasting- nice and fluffy. The guy was nice. But I will not be returning when in Memphis.

OMG! The FOOD is AMAZING! Sam did his thing! Everything is cooked as ordered! My husband ordered the one pounder burger combo! It was everything and then some! He got so full we almost wasn't able to walk out! I had the catfish fillet combo! Omg, that fish was cooked perfectly! We also had 2 milkshakes to go to top it all off! The environs chill & clean! He sells breakfast, lunch & dinner all day! We will be returning very soon!
