We are glad to find this Palestine-style sweets shop! The staff are friendly and recommend the Kunafa, iced coffee, and Dubai chocolates to us!
We ordered Kunafa and the Dubai chocolate! The Kunafa is na imah style (with semolina dough), not the Knishnah (crust made from long thin noodle threads). Thanks to this shop for offering both versions of Kunafa! I used to only try the Kunafa with crispy crust in the external layer. (Honestly, I may like yhe knishnah better so I hope the shop can present different versions of Kunafa in the board so consumers can choose)!
We are not active in TikTok so thanks to them so much for introducing the Dubai Chocolate! This sweet goes viral and crazy in the last few months in TikTok but the idea is simple and creative and really arise many simulation from different businesses!! The flavor reminds me of the Classical Chinese sweets with either sesame or butter as fillings, so I wouldn’t say that the flavor is that amazing.
I really appreciate the support and enthusiasm we got from the staff! Overall I feel the shop has an ambition to offer the qualified handmade sweets and want to promote their products to all customers. Since this is a new shop, we want to propose some advice for better promotion, highlighting the sweet specialties, and attracting customers within and beyond the Arabian community.
First of all, I believe that the menu shall be polished and separated into the drink layers and sweet layers. In the sweet layers, the name description with the picture will be appreciated. When I entered the shop, I had searched that this shop offered Kunafa but I barely saw Kunafa until the non highlighted bottom of the menu! In addition, I really enjoy the Middle East sweets and I believe that the international reputation of Middle East sweets and its popularity still waits for more advertisement and introduction to break the circle. So proper name with a funny and detailed description and photos/ pictures will be really helpful for the customers.
Second, in the food display cabinet, we saw some sweets and croissants! There is no way for me to know the name of the sweets on the top layer and its price. I do appreciate if they can add the food label and the price attached accordingly. Kunafa is definitely one of the signature in the shop, if it is not convenient to put a fresh Kunafa inside the cabinet, a picture with a name (probably different versions) and price label is really better!
Third, I saw the Palestine map on the right and some general wall papers on the left. I hope that those spaces can be fully made use of to tell a story either about the signature sweets or the shop/staff (such as its origins and evolutions). Otherwise customers like me just get confused about the the sweet categories and its historical association with Palestine.
We really appreciate the communication with the owners and we get to know that they also make different birthday and wedding cakes of different sizes. And that business and the contact of the shop can actually be highlighted in the wall as well!
