We just spent close to $40 for 2 plates on uber eats main hungry for this food get the food lil add sides no seasoning and we asked for smothered pork chops kind of happy cause it was like liquid water for the price of these plates no way should it be the portion or lack of seasoning like this restaurant has really went down cause the food use to live up to the name un flavor and care and the plates definitely was worth it ILL NEVER GO BK THE ONE IN EAST BETTER

Not worth the money , they don’t taste good like they used to . The macaroni had no cheese/cheap cheese . The black eye peas were canned tasting and dry . In so disappointing this used to be my favorite restaurant to visit when I came to visit

I’m not impressed. Greens were nothing but stems. Don’t do that! Food costs too much! Candied yams full of cinnamon.. too much! Chicken, not impressed. Very disappointed, not much of taste. This location on Mill branch is not the one.

This my second time going to this restaurant and I can actually say it's always clean & the staff is awesome here and I brought the cornbread only y'all when I say cooked to ur perfection omg I mean just what I said do sleep on these people, don't get me wrong I had the food before it was really good and seasoned right like Big Moma back in the kitchen...A+ in my book!!

I order 3 plates for dinner and they all tasted horrible. The chicken breast with the dressing no seasoning gravy look like what you use on mashed potatoes , mac & cheese dry, spaghetti was sweet, watery and had a kick to it and chicken tenders was way smaller than the last time I was there just waste of my time and money today. Now I have to go get something else for dinner.

I ordered the dinner kam smothered pork chops and the meatloaf. My first order was a bit disappointing but, I went back to the restaurant. I showed them the food and what i felt wasn't right about it. The cook remade my plates and the manager even gave me a slice of cake. The attitude of everyone involved was very kind and professional. Me and my family traveled to Memphis Tuesday and upon arrival, we found this place, actually it was recommended by a local. When I tell you, it did not disappoint. The food was reasonable also. I had chicken wings, sweet potatoes, rice and gravy and cornbread and some good ol lemonade. The customer service was top tier. I could eat this everyday. I'm so thankful for that experience. I will recommend to anyone, and I will be back

Southern Hands has never disappointed. My first visit at this location and the food was fabulous as always, and the service was great for takeout. The original owner, who I think has passed, would be pleased.

Went here for lunch for the first and it was decent. I’ve passed it multiple times because I live in the area but never had a chance to stop. I got the chicken lunch plate with 2 side and cornbread. The chicken was seasoned well but wayyy to big for my liking. I do not like huge hormone injected wings. And personally the side I got the candied yams and corn didn’t have enough flavor. But it was eatable. I was expecting a home coooked meal type of vibe but this not what my granny or even my food taste like. But again it was just okay. Good for the price. The service was really good and quick. I may be back to try other items.

The Blackened fish was really good! The greenbeans were cooked just right. I didn't like the mash potatoes, but the thay fish !! Ooo...wee!!!!! Was so good! It had me dancing in the hallway . If you're in the area, definitely check out Southern hands in milbranch 🔥🔥🔥🔥
