I walked here to get a coffee before I had to be at work at 4:00 pm switch is the time y'all closed today I was about to walk in at 3:46 pm 15 minutes before close and the door was locked and 3 people behind the counter and the security guy was just texting on his phone wouldn't even acknowledge me.

Starbs attached to the Marriott. Security at the door - downtown location, makes sense.I dropped in for a bakery item and some hot water."Oh, I can't get you any hot water, but would you like your bakery item warmed up?"Perhaps I misheard. Ain't getting any younger, and all the rock 'n' roll concerts must be catching up to me. I repeated my request for a cup of hot water."We do not give out hot water to customers."I spluttered. My first instinct was to look around. Was there an influencer filming me, hidden behind the windows? Were the staff doing a prank for social media? I offered to pay for the hot water. The manager came out and shot that down, too."Well, if you can't serve hot water, how do you sell tea, then?""That's different."Ended up leaving empty handed. If this was as a result of regional / corporate insanity, then I applaud the employees for sticking to the bit. That is the only rationale that makes any sense.In the meantime, I advise one to go literally anywhere else, including the multiple midtown Sbuxes that had no problem serving me boilin' hot H₂O.

The rudest people working here but unsurprising for downtown Memphis. Go to the Westin location off Beale, easier parking and much friendlier.

The wait time here is always longer than any other Starbucks I go to. Working in the downtown area its the closest one to my job. I rather Doordarsh then to actually wait the time.. ?Parking: Gotta make sure you don't park in wrong spot for car won't get tow.

This morning, Friday, October 27, when four European customers were leaving after consuming on the terrace, I saw something I had never seen before. A young employee came out to ask customers to put the chairs, table and umbrella in the position they supposedly were before. They, logically, had joined two tables to be together. It was disconcerting for tourists.

I literally got here at 7:40 am to place my order. I had a meeting at 8:00 am it took almost 20 mins. Smh. Im not sure if all mobile orders are considered first or what but gahdleee!!! If I would of known that I would of not ordered. I was late for my meeting at least let people know it will be a long wait time.

Do Not go to this Starbucks - it's the worst one there is. Waited here til they open to get a coffee and Katherin asked me to wait another 10 minutes because she wasn't ready yet after arriving there at 555. And she told me to leave! Very rude, it's clear that she doesn't want to work there and man I would never want to have another interaction with her I will not be buying coffee from Starbucks again at any location because of Katherin's rudeness and lack of ability to do her job. I'll spend my 600$ a month for coffee with a better companyGo to vice & virtue coffee - great coffee, great vibes, great people

Cute location, beautiful building, there's security on sight, my drink was well made and came out quick, and the service worker was really kind and sweet. THis is located on the same street as my job so it's convenient for me. I will make it a stop for coffee when I can for sure.

Horrible customer service. The employees are incredibly rude, when my drink was made wrong three times they got frustrated and handed me the cream to add myself. All because I interrupted their social hour behind the counter. They are too focused on talking to each other than to make drinks. Also there was a child behind the counter. A little girl just walking around back there. Must have been one of the employees kids. Ridiculous.

The front desk and staff were very friendly and helpful to us. The room was spacious and had more space than the Gaylord Hotel that we stayed in in Nashville. A short walk to Beale Street and back. Try the original BB King's BBQ. It was a hit in both food and music.
