My wife and I were in town and wanting to try some local stops. We ordered catfish, okra, and creamed spinach. It was absolutely fantastic! It was maybe the best catfish I've ever had. The okra was damn near perfect. The staff were very kind and friendly. Do yourself a favor and stop in. We'll be going back.

This place is a TRUE gem! I am in town visiting family and found this place which was a few blocks from my hotel.The hostess with mostest (short lady with curly hair) was a doll! Very sweet, friendly and full of great energy. My server had braids and she was amazing!!But baby, THE BAND! ?? The sexy man playing the saxophone . Y’all, I was not expecting the vibes but it was everything!!!I had the catfish bites and fries and it was So good! I normally don’t eat tartar sauce but THAT tartar sauce?! Whew!! I ate every drop.Listen, I will be back!! Thank you so much for such an amazing experience

This was an awesome dine in experience. I had the turkey necks dinner. Other family members enjoyed the fried catfish dinner and the baked chicken dinner. It was a great spot to settle in after Sunday church service. They played gospel music and the food was sooo good. The staff modeled good customer service. I will be back.

I don't know if the cook is the owner or not but he came out and went to every table in the restaurant to check on everyone's food. I never saw so many smiles and laugher from so many customer before...The food is delicious.

So the Sugashack was recommended by some folk here in Memphis, and it they didn't disappoint! The food was hot and fresh, and it came out quickly. The chicken, as my wife put it, "was seasoned down to the bone" (?), wasn't greasy, and packed a lot of great flavor. The sides were excellent, and the sweet tea was done right. I didn't get a chance to ask why there was only one server, but if I had a gripe, it was that. The young lady E worked her tail off and I hope that she historically has more help than she did today! We'll be back! 9.1/10
