Ordered over $70 worth of food (take-out), drove all the way home (30 mins), and my sushi was missing. I then called back multiple times before they closed and got no answer. 👎🏾

I order a dish however my meal was cold and tasteless.They served me a kid side portion and refused to give me a refund. I will never go there again or recommend them!

When I got home from picking up my online order I realized I was missing my appetizer. I called the store, and was placed on hold for a long time. I called back, and finally got through to someone who placed me on hold again. After checking with a manager they then told me there was nothing they could do about my missing item because there is a “policy” that the customer has to “double check their order before they leave.” I asked how can the customer do that when the order is taped up, and there is no room in the pick up area to do so? Also how is someone supposed to know about this policy? It isn’t on the website? She said “it’s all over the front.” All over the front of what ma’am? Use your words, please. “The front of the store.” Oh ok so while I am walking in, and getting my food with 15 other people I am supposed to read all the policy signs myself. Then open my bag of food in the front door and go through each item. Great thanks. Also if this was the policy, and it’s “all over the front” why did they have to check with a manager first?

The bento box was filling. The salmon had great flavor but a little over cooked. The California roll was cut into bigger slices which was nice. I really enjoyed it. It comes with a salad and choice of miso or clear soup. I got the clear soup. This is on there lunch special. The service was good but they don't make substations. The place is a good size and can accommodate a group.

I love the food, don't get me wrong, the girls at the front are lovely, whatever system they have for orders to go, needs to be revised. This is the third order that has come to me and it's wrong the wrong thing or the item is missing altogther. Once, ok, Twice, get it together (they always ask me to come back like I have the time, to fix thier mistake) Third time, WTF, really. What am I going to do?!? I love the food....

Everything I’ve tried here is good and I’ve tried most of the menu. Their yellow curry is one of my all time comfort foods. Their sushi and hibachi are also really good. Their service is great. The staff is young but the staff that have been there a while are awesome and really take care of you. I’ve moved away and I still crave this place.

Be aware - the owner has a hair trigger about any topic that you bring up.

Been going here for years until tonight.
I was truly shocked by the interaction I had with the “owner” I had over something completely innocuous.

There is MUCH better sushi within 150 ft north of this location.

To go salad is $3.95, plus a mandatory added in gratuity. It s the saddest smallest salad ever. Much different from the one I had in person here last week.

I wish I had been warned how much difference there is in take out portion size and service quality between their dine in and carry out.

DO NOT GET TO GO FOOD HERE WITH OUT CHECKING IT ON SITE FIRST

You really shouldn't get take out here at all due to the drastically smaller portions from in house.

After you drive back to get the dressing they left out after collecting a forced tip for service, the sushi will be warm because they do not bother to bag cold and hot foods separately.
Well packed food should get a tip. Not everything thrown into one bag with things missing or soy sauce lids not fully closed.

Seriously...four bucks plus FORCED tip for this sad amount of ice berg lettuce with no dressing.

Hope they didn't take out too long of a lease because there's an excellent sushi place literally next door where the employees care about doing a good job instead of their collecting mandatory gratuity no matter how much business they lose for the restaurant.

I’ve been a frequent customer at Takashi and have been impressed by the consistent quality of the food as well as the friendliness of the staff. My favorite has to be the chicken hibachi (the best in Memphis in my opinion), and the kaboom shrimp is delicious. Every server I’ve had has been excellent and the manager River was super accommodating to my friend’s gluten allergy. All around a great experience!

The food was overcooked and the shrimp and scallops were like eating rubber. The manager named River is a racist and it took 20 minutes to place a drink order. Overall 0 stars don’t go there!
