Started with watermelon and wings — odd combo on paper, but it works. The menu’s playful without feeling gimmicky. Interior still has traces of its beauty parlor past, which gives it character. Service was chill, and nothing felt rushed. Great for something a little different without sacrificing quality.
Beauty Shop never disappoints. After working there for years I still find myself back there ordering Jerk Fish Club for lunch. The Jerk Sauce is a secret recipe Chef/Owner Karen Carrier learned to make while in Jamaica many years ago and man…. It’s out of this world. Also the best Rueben I’ve had in the city. Get a scoop of the Olive Oil & Basil gelato to finish the meal, trust me- you’ll be in heaven.
