My friend and I stumbled upon this restaurant looking for a quick breakfast. Upon arriving we were greeted very kindly and our food was served fast. The owner was very kind to us and his prices are very reasonable for the delicious food that is prepared. Would definitely recommend to anyone! And would continue to come back again.

Loved this place. Travelled from Australia to see the ‘real’ American and the cottage is exactly what I hoped for. Such friendly people!

This was quite an excellent and unusual experience me and my fiance enjoyed it immensely. The food was delicious and very Grand.Parking: It wasn't wide open parking lot.Wheelchair accessibility: They were very nice and considerate as to take care of anyone who was in a wheelchair and had everything accessible for you for the handicapped.

Tried to go and have breakfast w/ my daughter this morning. It stunk beyond belief, the floors were FILTHY. Buffet steam table only half set up and you could see the NASTY Brown water, probably the source of the STINK. only a few pieces of food on the table anyway....this, at 8:00 am. We turned around & walked out. How this place is even open is beyond me. I haven't been there in a few years and definitely NEVER again.

Food was terrible. We didn’t complain. we just didn’t eat it. Sweet tea tasted old. The waitress acted offended when we didn’t want more tea, stating “I made this tea”The drum sticks were abnormally large and just tasted badly. The dressing smelled … badly. Just not right. And the northern beans were brown and dry with no liquid. The rolls tasted microwaved. She then made a comment asking us “was it too much food or do you just not like it?!” Again we were polite and told her it was just too much food. Very awkward. When we went to leave, the employee checking us out said “did you eat all your food? No you did not!”

This place has a small breakfast and lunch menu and buffet. The waiters are amazing lady’s sweet tea is great. I just don’t think they’ve ever ate @ The Cottage. Mostly a older senior breakfast environment. Food is not the best I actually had hash brown that smelled like ammonia. I almost puked, could barely stomach the sausage that seemed to be cooked then fried . Eggs also had a funny taste .. Roach powder underneath the tables

1st off I want to say customer service is great very much appreciated and 2nd is this restaurant is very old but so much history and different location. Food is good but I only had two complaints the biscuits was not baked all the way and the pancakes I couldn't tell if it was lemon seed poppy or some kind of flavoring did not taste very well but on the other hand everything else was delicious so overall the breakfast experience I will rate 4 out of 5 and only because of the sweet staff members but if you improve on both the pancakes and biscuits than maybe I'll come back again next weekend but if yall love variety this place here has it even donuts pastries and juices but it has a breakfast buffet worth the price. Also if you like lunch they got great food great southern food with the southern hospitality to match and if I m not mistaken I do believe they also do all you can eat catfish every Friday, so whenever yall get a chance check this place out.

I have been a loyal customer for years. The last time I ate there a roach ran across the table and the bacon was sour as if rotted.
