I was very disappointed in your Lamar location! After a great dinning experience at your Cordova location, I passed my normal hamburger joint, Dixie Queen on Shelby Drive, to visit your site on Lamar. I started having my doubts when I pulled up and all of the unappealing signage was all over the windows. We went inside where I was greeted with an odor. Theplace was dimly lit. There was no brightly lit menu marque on the wall, or flat screen TVs. There appeared to be no odor of food cooking whatsoever. Then, I had to ask the young woman at the counter to put her mask on before I could approach it to place my order. The last straw was when I asked for the same order I got at your Cordova location and I was told there was no cheeseburgers! I won't be coming to either location any more because obviously there is a double standard...service with a smile and a white woman wearing a mask cashier in Cordova and give the people in the hood any kind of service on Lamar. Your Lamar location is a total disappointment.

The food was great and the portions sizes spot on. I would give 5 stars, but they auto cancelled a second order placed through UberEats with zero explanation. The chicken salad was delicious and I love their fries. I will be eating here again, but not ordering through Uber as they might cancel my order. Definitely will go and order in person take out.

The food is great these guys deserve to be known about give them a chance one of the best local spots I eat at and will tell everyone to go try. The will sell to cdl drivers anytime they are open that's the number 1 reason I eat there is because they care support local shops

The grill on Lamar used to have the best grilled wings and grilled vegetables I have ever had. The past 2 times that I have been there I was served old dried out chicken wings and the vegetables are nothing more than the frozen Chinese Stir fried dodging makes you can buy in the store. They have definitely gone down from the times that I've been there before . The owner stated his daughter and nephew have taken over the store and he most certainly needs to go back in there and give them a lesson on grilling. The store on knight Arnold is way, better fresh chicken and actually grilled veggies zucchini squash mushroom grilled to perfection. I will not return to the Lamar store again.

I apologize if this The Grille not associated with one that is in Cordova. Could not post to that one .. shows permanently closed on Google maps.. although they were open and providing service. Hoping to get some good chkn on a stick but got home with dried up meat. Can't call. No answer. was still hungry so had to go somewhere else. If cannot serve good food then don't serve it at all.

Waited 30 minutes for my call in order and sat while 2 ppl who ordered theirs at the counter received their food before me only to find out it was ready and just sitting on the side. Made it home and food was over cooked and hard. Will not return very disappointed.

I spent almost $36. The wings were so hard I couldn't eat them. The chicken on a stick chicken was hard. My granny enjoyed her plate. She had a shoulder plate. I had to pick thru the meat and pull the hard pieces out. My daughter didn't enjoy hers she said her wings were hard and the fries. Smh. I guess I shoulda went at 12 instead of 3:30.

Great people inside but I've definitely had way better BBQ. I got the pork shoulder sandwich it was pretty generic.

Never been to a southern BBQ place before. I loved it!!! Great food, price low, and people were nice.

What do you expect from a hole-in-the-wall restaurant? Could easily miss it when driving by? Check. Well known and loved by many in the area? Check. Restroom that is a bit of, uh, an "adventure"? Check. Good food that keeps you coming back? Check! My husband and I order the #1 Special at least once a week. It comes with 2 grilled wings, one of their famous chicken on a stick, carrots and celery, fries (or sub for another side) and dipping sauces (a ranch and a sauce that tastes like Heinz 57). I love that the food is not greasy and fried. I usually get grilled veggies instead of fries. The grilled chicken is addictively tasty and famous for a good reason. I've had the occasional dry chicken, (also the occasional too salty chicken) but nothing so bad to keep me from coming back for more. We've also had the catfish and the pulled pork sandwich. They were okay. I've been hearing that the turkey ribs are awesome. That'll be my next deviation from the #1 Special. Don't miss the butter cookies!

Today the chicken wings are horrible!! They are very small, old and dried out!! I'm done with this place.
