First visit to the area came up on this place and what a find! Place was packed, sat up at the counter and greeted by Alex and Brittany both provided wonderful service throughout. Food delicious, large portions. First time ever eating plain pancakes without butter/syrup they were that good! And tasty scrambled eggs. An extra special thank you to Ms Alex helped us FL folks, providing us all the great ins and outs of the area. Highly recommend stopping by even for a quick morning beverage!

Let me just say — The Liquor Store on Mendenhall in Memphis is IT! Hands down, no lies, the food was seasoned to perfection and absolutely delicious. Worth every bit of the 20-minute wait. My gosh… I should’ve been coming here a long time ago!
Our server, Elise (forgive me if I spelled it wrong), was amazing. She makes these incredible jams and fresh fruit mixes for mimosas that are on another level. The mimosa bottle with your choice of flavors for just $28? You can’t beat it! She really did her thing and gave top-tier hospitality.
We were chatting with a staff member, told them to please thank whoever was in that kitchen for blessing us with such good food — turns out, that “staff member” was the general manager! He was such a sweet gentleman, genuinely making sure every customer received the best service possible. You can tell he cares about his team and the experience they give.
I literally texted every family member and my sorority sisters before I even left so we can all come back in two weeks. If you’re in Memphis, you have to come here for great beverages, amazing food, and unbeatable customer service. 10/10 — can’t wait to return!

The grits were soupy, like water was added later and they were bitter instead of savory.
The eggs seemed to be reheated like they had been sitting.
The toast wasn’t host. The best things were the bacon and part of the pancake I could taste that my daughter ordered.
The automatic 20% gratuity that sent my bill from $72 to $91+ dollars, the food wasn’t worth it!
Our server tho’ was a gem. I’m not sure I will visit again. I’m a foodie and I love to eat. First impressions are BIG for me.

I had to write a review because of the excellent service I received at The Liquor Store - Mendenhall location. I came in on a Saturday to do some work on my laptop and ordered coffee and food from the coffee bar. My server, Raven, was so kind and helped me figure out what I wanted to order. In addition to my coffee order (Cubano Con Leche), she gave me water to fill up my Stanley cup. I also ordered the Cubano Chicken Burrito (no pictures because it was devoured) and it was delicious. The manager, Calvin came to check on us as well while we worked and I was able to give him compliments on the service in person. If you are looking for a brunch spot, a remote work location, or just a coffee spot.... The Liquor Store has all of it in one. It's such a vibe - the atmosphere, food, and service is SO GOOD. I will probably be back every Saturday now. LOL - Thank you so much The Liquor Store!

We really want to like this spot and continue to come back, leaving disappointed. The food always tastes good, sometimes cold, but the seating and time management of tables is always awful.
We decided to come back after some time hoping this changed, but today was the worst it had been.
We were seated almost immediately and our server greeted us promptly for our drink order, we then waited 35 minutes before our server came with waters, not even our coffee order.
The apparent lack of organization in front of house makes the customer experience an extreme variable. The table next to us was sat right before us and had waters, cocktails, and their food ordered and dropped at the table before we got our coffee.

I use to love this place but I'm not sure if they are under new management or what. The food was nasty. Our eggs tasted like they were cooked with burnt butter and they were already seasoned. I have never been to a breakfast place that put seasonings on their eggs. The turkey sausage tasted like it had been left out for 2 days. The pancakes are not good anymore. They were cold when we received them. We will no longer return to this establishment. I hate wasting money.

Great food! The menu is is well tailored with cuisine influence from Cuba and the Philippines. The food was served within 10 minutes of ordering. The wait staff was friendly and fast. I would recommend a trip here, for an enjoyable and refreshing breakfast.

I grabbed breakfast here with a friend of mine and we were both impressed. I had the pancakes with fried eggs and turkey sausage. It was very good. The coffee was great as well.
My friend had the biscuits and gravy with eggs and bacon and said it was good as well.
