Terrace at The River Inn

Very disappointing experience today at Terrace at The River Inn in Memphis, TN. We came in as a family of 10 while visiting from Palm Beach to see relatives, hoping to enjoy a meal together.

Instead, we were told they would not seat us together and were advised to split up and dine separately. What makes this even more frustrating is that there were only two other people in the restaurant at the time, so it clearly wasn’t an issue of space.

Refusing to move tables or make any accommodation felt unreasonable and unwelcoming. We went out to spend time together as a family, not sit apart. We ended up leaving and taking our business elsewhere. Definitely not the level of service you would expect.
This establishment does not deserve the one star I needed to provide in order to submit a review.

This place is always a vibe, the drinks were so good the food was impeccable we had the wings the spinach dip and the sliders everything was a 10 out of 10 The View was immaculate I love this place

Happy hour drinks were supposed to be $6 charged us $7 for and the next 2 drinks were $10 each when I specifically asked if it was a well drink. Wanted to order chicken wings and a regular drink waited over 15 minutes without waiter coming back. Really bummed was there before and great experience this time was awful

I was very surprised with this restaurant and the atmosphere was great overlooking the river.

Great views and friendly service

Best view of the river downtown! Unfortunately that is the only thing good I have to say about our experience there. We went for the Easter Brunch, host was less then welcoming, service was poor, the food was less than desirable, had to flag down server to get drinks, sat with empty water glasses, , 2nd drinks ordered before main course didn't come until we were about finished with our meal, after flagging down the host. Plates weren't cleared between courses. Food was brought to the table by someone that looked like he was the dishwasher judging by the amount of food on him. Hate to write poor reviews...there are so many things that could make this place an amazing experience especially for the cost...train better service and hire better cooks or a quality chef

This is a great place to go day or evening.The terrace view is awesome.Flatbreads recommended.

Just a great experience all around

Everything was great!!!! Love this restaurant

The atmosphere is great, however, we had terrible service and the food was not great. The duck empanadas were literally pouring grease out as soon as you bit into them, they were soggy and gross. Our server treated us like we were an inconvenience and didn't belong there. My husband and I just wanted a nice evening for our anniversary. On top of all of that, they charged us 4 times. We had to go back and speak to the manager who tried to explain it was a server issue that they had been having for over a week. I wonder why nobody explained that before we were charged 4 times. He offered for us to come back another time and request a different server but I'm not sure it's worth it since the food was not great and we were overcharged so badly. The only positive was the view.

My server Latoya was awesome and so sweet! The food and drinks were amazing!
