I really enjoyed my FIRST visit to the Tin Roof. The live music was fantastic and we really enjoyed Wesley Walker. So much so that we decided to go back the next night to enjoy the music again. This was when my SECOND visit was not pleasant. I had forgotten my ID in another purse but wasn’t really concerned because I was not asked for ID the night before plus I am 57 and haven’t been carded in over 30 years. I was with a group of about 20 people and few where asked for ID but not all. I was asked to show ID. I explained I didn’t have it and security refused to let me in but one security guy said he would let me in for a $20 fee. (There was no cover charge) In case anyone was wondering if I was drunk and a nuisance, I had not had anything to drink and did not make a scene. My husband and I politely walked off after telling security that I wasn’t going to pay someone a bribe to let me in. All this to say….they get a one star review due to their security asking for bribes so they could line their pockets.

It was a good night. John was bartending that night, and I'm sorry I forgot the band's name, but it was so nice to get to listen to some live music while I was in town. I loved the area and the vibe, definitely coming back to visit next year.Parking: Parking, depends on what time you come, I got in late so I got away with free parking. If you come on a night that's busy there is a really big parking lot down the street.

Was having a great time until the manager got involved and said I couldn't smoke where I had been smoking for the past two hours. So sad and crazy.
Stopped here about 7PM on a Friday. Service was slow and it wasnt that busy - ordered a few beers and they were cold and tasty. When I ordered food (I was sitting at the bar), as the food was delivered I was asked by security to give up my seat so they could remove the chairs. It still wasnt busy, so. I think it would have been in their best interest to let me eat (then remove the chair) rather than relocate to a table - but luckily there were some tables open. I just ordered some snacks -food was ok. The Band they had on - Lawson Harris, was great! They were a good country band with a mix of own stuff and lots of good covers. I'd highly recommend the band.

I feel very safe due to the hundreds of people attending this place nightly. If anything unsafe happens you can be assured crowd control will cover it. A little commoon sense people, come on..

We had very good service from the bartender the night we went. Besides making pretty good drinks, he was serving food from the kitchen and even served us drinks at the table where we were sitting as we enjoyed the live country music group. Lamentably we didn't get his name.

Was tryin to find the perfect place to land for the night after walkin Beale street. Ended up here and I’m so glad because of the music. They had a country/rock band up front that was good and in the back rap. People were dancin in the front to the country and in the back it was lit dancin to the rap. If one had a song goin I didn’t like I’d flop to the other side lol I couldn’t choose where I was havin the most fun!? If you have that kind of personality like I do (multiple) you’ll appreciate this place lol drinks are expensive. But that is everywhere. I was meetin people from all over the globe. It was neat.
