One of the worst meals I have had. Food dumped in bottom of the bag(fries) everything was dry, tasteless, luke warm, plus the order was incomplete, had to get out and go inside for the rest of it. This is not the first time.How do you guys stay in business, and call yourself the best in Memphis? It's my own fault, should have done what I usually do.... Go home and eat😐

Tops barbecue has been a favorite of ours for over 50 years. Today was an all time disappointment. The meat had as much fat as not. When I say fat I mean big chunks of slimey fat. Not just in my plate but my husband’s dish also. My husband did ask if they could see if they could make our dish with no fat. All the meat was coated in fat like oil had been poured over all the meat. The beans, slaw, fries were good however the greasy meat with big chunks of slimy fat will prevent us from coming back to Tops Barbecue any more.. Unfortunately Tops is Not the quality I grew up with . PS we were the only customers in the store.

Ordered the bbq cheese fries which on their menu says queso, brisket. Got my order once I got to work opened to maybe have 8 fries with queso thrown on top zero brisket. For $8.99 that’s absolutely a rip off.

I ordered the loaded fries. I wouldn’t eat them. It appeared thrown together, and quality just wasn’t there guys. Very disappointing to spend $15 almost and it went in the trash. If ur gonna make it ur gonna have to do better . I say with upmost kindness ❤️

a lady was screaming on staff when i walked in, she said she's been coming there for years, but this was unexceptable. she said the food was cold and stale... and she was right. the bbq was old and cold, coleslaw was meh and baked beans slimey. seems like memphis is losing it's reputation for great bbq, especially since the 2 best tops (lamar, quince) burned out

We walked in to the smell of BBQ. That was a good sign. We were greeted immediately and asked for our order. The brisket sandwich was ok. The ribs were full of fat. The beans tasted straight from a can with BBQ sauce added. The macaroni was not good. The Cole slaw was sub par. I will not return.
Highly recommend the breakfast bologna sandwich combo with real egg and hash browns for $7.

Was so impressed by the young man at the front of the restaurant. At 2 pm the drive thru line was around the building so I went inside. Robert was taking orders, taking payment, waiting tables and was handling every aspect of the eat in side of Topps. Need more sauce at this table? Still waiting on your fries ? Want to place an order? Robert was doing it all with a smile and he was moving fast to help customers get what they wanted. He is a jewel and the I hope the management realizes what they have. It is a busy location and the lines of customers were around the building outside and to the doorway inside at 2 pm. But only a blind man couldn't see that Robert was giving his all with a smile. Thanks Robert. You are an impressive young man!
