This was, without question, one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. I came specifically for the Thanksgiving meal, and that turned out to be a serious mistake. The food was completely cold because the heaters were never turned on. We waited over 30 minutes just to receive water, despite the restaurant not being busy and plenty of tables sitting empty. The entire experience was unacceptable and reflects extremely poor management and service

Lovely, comfortable experience and Tory was a great guide to the best dishes on the menu. Service was quick and friendly.
Came here with my sister and a group of kids. The whole experience went so smooth even with the little ones. They had good food options for our picky eaters. Chicken tenders, fries, and Mac and Cheese. They ate mostly everything and asked to take the rest home! The Mac and cheese was soooo cheesy and creamy my niece gave it a 10/10. Us adults ordered 2 appitizers the eggrolls and the lettuce wraps. Both delicious especially the lettuce wraps. Our entrees were the pasta and a T-bone and fries. Both entrees were very delicious.
We had two servers with one in training. Both were pleasant and took very good care of the table. Kept empty dishes clear, and kept drinks topped off checked in a good amount of time. Never had to look for them. Will definitely add this to my list of frequent visits.

The seafood gumbo was absolutely delicious. It may be spicy for some, but just right for me. My entree was the club sandwich, one of the best club sandwiches that I have ever eaten.

It is always a relaxing and pleasant experience when I go. Our waitress, Tori, was super nice and professional. She repeated back each order at our table to make sure our food was correct. I LOVED THAT!!!

Tug’s is one of my go-to spots in Memphis. The food is always fresh, the service is friendly, and you can’t beat the view of the river. Whether you’re grabbing a burger, brunch, or a drink after work, it’s always a good time. The staff makes you feel welcome every visit — just an all-around solid spot with that laid-back Memphis charm. Highly recommend!

Good food and prices, unfortunately we forgot our daughters bib when we left. Once we came back to get it, it was already gone. Within minutes the staff throws away items of their costumer. No way to get it back out of the trash. What a behavior - unbelievable

We stopped by this place around 8 a.m. on a Sunday for breakfast. They’re open only from 7 to 10 a.m. in the morning before closing and reopening later in the day. It was a slightly rainy morning by the river, which made the whole atmosphere feel cozy, calm, and laid-back. Parking was easy — we found a spot right in front and walked straight in. The restaurant wasn’t empty but not crowded either — just the perfect morning buzz.
We started with coffee — I ordered a regular coffee with cream, which they kindly refilled later, and one of us ordered a latte that oddly came with foam on top, more like a cappuccino. For food, two of us went with the American breakfast, while the others ordered the Cajun omelette.
The American breakfast was tasty but came in surprisingly small portions — we joked that it was served “European-portion.” The scrambled eggs (supposedly two eggs) seemed less than that, and the house fries, though delicious, were given in a small quantity. The toast was fine, served with jam, butter, and preserves. I had bacon, which was good, and my friend chose sausage links, which he enjoyed.
The Cajun omelettes were hit or miss — one was served hot and flavorful, while the other was closer to room temperature, which left us unsure if it had cooled before serving.

A Hidden Gem by the River
Tucked away from downtown Memphis, this charming bar-restaurant offers a serene escape with lovely sunset views over the Mississippi River. From the moment you arrive, the atmosphere feels calm and unhurried—perfect enjoying a quiet evening with friends.
The service is attentive without being intrusive. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely seem to care about creating a relaxed experience. Whether you're sipping a cold drink or enjoying a locally inspired dish, everything feels thoughtfully curated but never pretentious.
The real magic happens as the sun begins to set. The sky transforms into a canvas of warm oranges and purples,
If you're looking for a peaceful spot with great service, good food, this riverside retreat is well worth the short drive from downtown.

When in because my 6 year old granddaughter wanted to go set down at a restaurant to eat, after learning the fall festival. Me and daughter had already ate .so I ordered a dessert so I can eat with my granddaughter. Her chicken wings came out after a 30 minutes wait . The waitress was doing her best .my dessert didn’t come out until my granddaughter had ate and left with my daughter. After over a hour and a half of setting in waiting on my check and dessert that I refused that was cold . I never been to Tugs before and will probably never go again. All feed back welcome. Thanks!
