Okay visit but nothing that really stood out. Another st. Jude parent reccomended this place. Went on a week night with my son and my dad. There were other families there eating in the main dining area on the right side but for some reason we were taken to the bar side on the left. Besides all the adults drinking at the bar we were the only ones seated at a table. Definitely odd decision with a child in tow and we weren't getting any adult beverages either. Got to hear foul language from bar patrons throughout the entirety of our meal. Restaurant doesn’t have control on what ppl say, but not sitting us in that area would have made that not an issue at all. Hope management reads this and trains their hosts to not seat families with young kids on bar side.
Food was okay. Wednesday is their shrimp deal. 1 lb of shrimp for under 20. No side is included though. You can choose either fried, boiled or 50/50. Son's chicken tenders were decent off the kids menu. My dad's burger was good but he said not worth 17 dollars. I ordered sweet potato fries and they were super soggy when they arrived to the table and not the best. I also order the wed. Shrimp deal all bread. Shrimp weren't bad.
Service: waitress was nice, but did make a mistake that delayed my meal. I ordered all fried shrimp and she told the cook it was 50/50. She came out 30 minutes after she had taken our order and relayed that she accidently told the cook wrong and he was having to ook another batch of shrimp for my plate so there would be a 15 minute delay on that. She then went and got the rest of my parties food. By the time my shrimp came out and my fries my family was already a good way through their meal. Half my shrimp were hot right from the fryer the other half were already cool from having sat. My fries as mentioned above were soggy. Wish she would have brought my fries out instead of holding them, maybe they would have been better.
When looking at the bill I noticed she charged my son's drink as a full drink. His kids meal was suppose to include a drink in the meal price. At that point, we just wanted to go and didn't want to have to argue bout 3 dollars and some cents. But as I have read in other reviews, check your bill before you pay carefully.

Absolutely Disgusting Experience — Avoid at All Costs
Walked into a nearly empty restaurant, ordered one appetizer and two glasses of wine. Should’ve been simple. Instead, it turned into a trainwreck.
First red flag: the hostess refused to let me sit in a perfectly available seat for no reason. Then, my appetizer never came. When I asked, the waitress—Tatianna—blamed the cook, even though she admitted she never entered the order. Classic deflection.
As I left, she resorted to name-calling. Yes, a grown adult working in hospitality thought that was appropriate. Tatianna was rude, unprofessional, and clearly more invested in her phone than in doing her job. Her appearance and attitude screamed neglect—dirty uniform, zero courtesy, and absolutely no sense of responsibility.
She should be fired. Immediately. This place clearly doesn’t care about basic service standards. I wouldn’t go back if they paid me.

We used to love going here, it’s been a while due to moving and family passing but we were in the area so we decided to grab breakfast. It’s so ran down on the inside. The people were nice but you better have a minimum of an hour to waste just to get coffee and some eggs. Eggs were Waffle House greasy and the potatoes were dried out.

my family and I came for my gma birthday. the atmosphere was fine and it looked nice in the restaurant. our 2 waitresses was amazing and catered to us. however, the food was very mid. spinach dip was too loose and flavorless, pasta was flavorless and tasted like it came out of a bag. buffalo wrap had an aftertaste, caesar salad tasted like vinegar, sweet potato fries were flavorless and too soft. they were out of ALL specialty pizzas. honestly the only thing good was the buffalo chicken wings and drinks. i would not be coming back at all, everything tasted as if it came straight out the freezer i would not recommend this place at all.

We didn't eat, they served one of my party wine in a cocktail glass, but explained they didn't have clean wine glasses. Nice atmosphere and outside view. There were a few pesky knats flying around. Server was friendly and kind

Normally the food here is good but today I waited almost 30 minutes for the deckhand and everything was old and cold. I sat at the bar and the service was terrible. I over heard the bartender say he had a hangover so maybe everyone working this morning had one.

Atmosphere is better than the food. I guess people are awful desperate nowadays. Huey's is worth the drive no matter what part of town you live in.

Our waiter took well over 30 minutes to greet us. I had to ask the host to get our server and she admitted that she forgot about us. We ordered our meal and when she returned she didn’t bring out the order correctly (was missing items). When we asked, she never come back with corrected order. She didn’t check up on us once for over an hour and when she arrived she had our checks in hand. During that hour we had to sit with literally swarms of flies around us (we were outside) due to the dishes sitting in front of us. After giving her our cards she held on to them for another 25 minutes. The manager happened to stop by and when I spoke up about some of the issues she immediately shot me down and was not kind. I’ve enjoyed this restaurant in the past due to its convenience and efficiency but i have NEVER been treated so poorly. What could have been a 30-40 minute quick meal turned into a 2 hour dinner that didn’t even satisfy us. Photo attached for the guests that joined us for the 2hour duration.

Fourth of July and we didn’t want BBQ. David and Brandy are a dream team. Great service, great energy and the food was good as well.
The only reason I rated a 4 instead of 5 is when we entered the host and bar tender BOTH looked at us and turned to continued their conversations with no greeting or acknowledgment which was extremely rude. David came from the kitchen and greeted us with a big smile. Then the host acknowledged us afterwards. David is the real MVP.

Oh the complaints: Server started out complaining about having to work on 7/4 bc he had to pay his taxes.( Smh) Then c/o having a broken vessel in his leg. Never introduced himself. Complained every time he bypassed us. Not to mention the ornaments hanging out of his face. Not a good experience at all. Left after a long wait….Very sad I didn’t get to taste the food.
