I have been eating at Wangs for over 30 years. And the last two times I have been in one of which was today and the other about two weeks ago I noticed things are different. It is not the same food or owners. And when I ask about Shelly on repeat they just say she is in China. I asked about David they said he retired. Just come out and say we took it over no need to lie. The egg rolls which used to be the best in the city because they were very unique are not the same these are basic egg rolls Wangs was known for their egg rolls and the freshness of the cabbage in them and these arent them. The buffet has more choices but today my fried rice had a weird flavor and the fried shrimp tasted old or was cooked in old oil. And the broccoli in the mixed veggies was either old or very very over cooked it had no crunch and if you have ever eaten there you know what I mean it was limp and almost brown. It isnt terrible but it is also not Wangs quality. The Egg Foo Young was still very good though. But moving forward that maybe the only thing I get there.

I am from Chicago and was stuck in a hotel because of storm. Our vehicle was literally stuck in the snow in the parking lot trying to drive anywhere yesterday. I have eaten at many Mandarin restaurants in Chicago. Yesterday Uber Eats and DoorDash and whoever else was “not available”. WELL WANG’S DELIVERED THEMSELVES WITHOUT THE OVERHEAD FEES of Uber Eats or Dash. WANGS BEEF AND BROCCOLI is phenomenal ! Beef super tender. The EGGROLLS were great, we could tell they were very fresh. ( not the frozen deep fried type others do). GREAT SERVICE, ORDER WAS CORRECT AND VERY ENJOYABLE. We WILL order again before we head back home.

I had the best fresh cashew chicken I've ever had in many years. All the ingredients were fresh. They delivered in the storm to our hotel after the hotel restaurant ran out of food when doordash and Uber were closed.

The food is great! The food tastes as good as I remember it did when I ate in establishments that had real Chinese chiefs cooking. I especially enjoyed the twice cooked pork it was perfect! The only issue I had on my last visit was the lack of service from our server bu I don't think that is the normal experience as we had great service on previous visits. Overall I highly recommend this establishment.

We got pickup. We got moo goo pan and it was bland and what little chicken was in it was tough and tasted old. We also got the happy family and it tasted bland and old…We spent 50 dollars and got old, bland, crappy food…it’s ridiculous…do better

I came from out of town and wanted to try a local restaurant. Ordering delivery went as expected, and the delivery exchange went fine. But as I was stirring my rice into my Kung Pao Chicken, I fished out a dead fly in my dish. I spent $57.08 for the entire order and it’s now all wasted because now I can’t trust the rest of the food.
Everything was great!!! From the service to the food and also parking. Staff was amazing and very kind. I ordered the honey glazed chicken with rice and it was delicious! There was also plenty of space to park my 26ft box truck. If I'm ever in the area again, I will definitely be visiting them again.

Very dated with mediocre food and while we sat and are our late lunch the lady behind the bar decided it was a good time to clip her fingernails! That has to be the most disturbing sound you well ever hear while you are eating from anyplace let alone a place with a buffet!

We have been eating at Wang’s for many years. We have occasionally tried other Chinese restaurants, especially when we travel. We have never found another one that comes close. Their menu is extensive, and they offer a nice wine selection. We always order several of the appetizers because it’s too hard to narrow down our choices. For entrees, we especially like the Ta-Chin chicken, Kung Pao chicken, all the wok tossed options. Delicious food and nice people.
