Starting with the service, it was absolutely horrible from Willie himself. The wait/kitchen staff tried to accommodate the walk in of 40 plus. The best thing was the catfish. The spaghetti was palatable at best. It tasted like spaghetti-o. They were out of a lot of menu items at 1pm on a Saturday afternoon. We were overcharged for the items we did get with no real set price for the menu item. Waited 1 hr fornpoor service

Food is A1, got a plate of dressing with cranberry saucd, chitterlings, spaghetti, corn bread, and a cup of kool-aid. Couldn't believe I found a spot like this. My friend got a burger that he said was the best one he'd ever had. I found this place since I was working across the street and needed something to eat around lunch time and now that I've tried it, I gotta keep going to try the whole menu. I'll be doing more work in the area for a few days and will definitely be returning.

Decided on a whim that I wanted some soul food and this popped up as we were driving through Memphis.
Absolutely the correct choice. Willie and his staff were very sweet and the food was delicious. My partner and I both agreed that if we lived in Memphis we'd be regulars.

This place is amazing! Best soul food I've ever had, and Willie is so friendly and helpful. The smothered pork chops and smothered chicken lunch specials were divine, especially the greens and pinto beans. Apple pie a la mode was the nail in my belt's coffin, I had to roll out the door. Definitely stop in!

This restaurant is terrible; I'll explain. As soon as you walk in the floor is so sticky your steps make loud noises. There are very few prices posted. The catfish menu is false advertisement as it is SWAI not catfish they are serving. I used the word serve very very loosely because they do NOT bring you anything. They slide your drink cup to you under a shield that is so low it is done on its side; you know the part you put your lips on. The Mac and cheese has no flavor and the color is a dark orange. Their claim to have the best Black Eyed Peas is false as well; dry and no taste. The decor of the place has you wondering if you should call the Shelby Health Department. Need I say more

This place was like eating in a trash can!! I paid $25 dollars for chitterlings they had trash in them floating like fish food in a tank!!! I thought maybe I’d support a black business but he was so damn right rude. This was my first and last time. I wouldn’t even recommend feeding this to wild animals ✌🏽Business sucks!!! $60 wasted!!!
Maybe it was me I wasn’t happy about this food was okay fish could’ve been fried harder it was still a lil pink , dressing was okay but the Mac & cheese was a no no oxtails @ rice where okay also my first time going & last from my experience today ……

If the older man wouldn't be so rude I would come more often. I sent a co worker over cuz my plate was good but she started older man was rude saying she didn't speak and she did....I believe her cuz one day I cld a while back for fish plate I had just got it for 9.99 he gave me another price I asked him about 9.99 price boyyyy he went off saying ain't nobody selling 9.99 fish i hung up and hadn't returned till last week and don't think I will return
