Popped in for lunch as we traveled through. Party of four and we all enjoyed our choice. Perfect portion and tasty. Great variety on the menu. Homemade pies were a hit. I’d recommend the Sugar Cream pie.
I wanted to try this restaurant out for breakfast with my two young daughters. I read the reviews and the history about this place and was excited and hopeful. We walked in to a gloomy, depressing atmosphere. only a handful of people at 11 a.m. Didn't give it to much thought. The waitress (older lady) took our order, asking us multiple times our orders. Still didn't give it to much thought. She brought two platters and had to ask again who ordered what. My oldest daughter (13 yrs) got yelled at by this waitress to answer the question. We sat there in shock. We had a very hard time understanding all of her mumbling. The food was worse than the service. Burnt french toast (three orders), runny eggs(asked for fried, well done), and undercooked sausage( that could have made us sick. I offered to pay for what we had tried to eat and the manager was kind and understanding to not charge for anything. Sounds like this place is only surviving off the fried chicken.
First timer and now going to become a regular. All employees wore masks. We were there for breakfast, the portions were huge and the food was delicious. Our waitress was fantastic. We can’t wait to come back and try the famous fried chicken.
Great food. Brittany, our waiter wasvery helpful.
Good food and fast service.
Vistas today after Church and it was packed. Buffet was 12.99 and included salads meats and sides plus a desert bar. Chicken is probably the best in Indiana certainly worth the trip. 4 piece fried chicken plate with 2 sides 10.99. Service was a bit slow due to the number of guests.
Driving through Morristown from a camping trip, so stopped for lunch. Seated immediately, and Chelsea took our drink orders right away. She returned quickly with them, and took our food order. My husband and I both had the fried chicken (2 piece) with 2 sides. Our sides were a side salad with bleu cheese dressing, and mashed potatoes with gravy. The dressing was delicious and homemade. Mashed potatoes were real potatoes, and the creamy white pepper gravy was very tasty. We definitely will stop here again, whenever we are passing through!
the fried chicken is good. all others items i tried were decent but not as good as the chicken. i ate the buffet once and it wasnt too bad
family got fried chicken from here for big gathering saturday. what a treat. after a few hours of waiting to eat it, often fried chicken can dry out, but not this great stuff. sill juicy after keeping warm. and... could use utensils with these easily without having to get hands greasy. a great choice.
Grandson had a basketball game nearby and was trying to find a place to eat. Ran across this little gem. Very clean with warm and welcoming staff. Had the breaded tenderloin sandwich that comes with chips. I was expecting regular chips but was pleasantly surprised. They make their own chips and they are amazing. Nice and crunchy without an oily feeling. Sandwich was good as was the small salad bar. Ordered coconut cream pie to eat later in the evening and wasn't disappointed there either. If you are every in Morristown give this place a try.

Service was the worst I have ever had. The waitress was condescending rude lack of attention. Originally I thought that maybe it was because we were out-of-towners. but out of the six or eight people that were in the restaurant I seen she treated only three of them with any kind of respect or kindness. She was slow rude and disrespectful. The food was the only saving grace. It was better than average. if you see a short older woman with dark hair don't go in.
We visited the Bluebird Restaurant for a Sunday lunch. This restaurant was much larger than it looked from the outside. Our service was very good, and the food was all really good. There was a salad bar, hot bar, and a dessert bar with homemade pies and ice cream as well as cakes. There were not a lot of fixings for the tossed salad, but there were several other salads such as potato, pasta salad and three to four more. The fried chicken was really good, and there was also shrimp and ham on the hot bar, as well as mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, corn and a mixed vegetable dish. You can also order off of the menu if you do not wish to have the buffet, however, we did not look at a menu, so I'm not sure what all is available. All in all, I would make the 45 minute trip again.
Great place to eat!! Sunday buffet is awesome!! Excellent Fried chicken and sides! Everything is just like mom used to make!!! Big salad bar also, with all the fixings!!! Great prices too!!!
Stopped for lunch on a Friday afternoon about 2:00 PM. There were a few patrons still eating lunch, but was not busy. Our server, Victoria, was right there for our drink orders. We needed some extra time to look at the menu, of which, she graciously gave us the time. We both ordered the fried chicken, side salads with bleu cheese. I had the mashed potatoes with a creamy, pepper gravy, and husband had french fries. We, also, ordered the creamy onion soup. All was delicious! The soup had a wonderful flavor, and the chicken was piping hot. We had a hard time eating it, until it cooled down! Victoria was very pleasant, and did an awesome job waiting on our table. We will be back...
