The name has changed to New York Pizza Cafe even though it doesn't say that anywhere. The food looked and tasted like it was frozen and re-heated to serve. Don't waste your time or money.

I ordered food from here to be delivered, said it would take 40 minutes it never arrived and now they are closed. Pretty mad that they didn't answer the phone at all before they closed and just didn't deliver the food. They suck.

Ordered through grubhub. Food never arrived. Tried twice to call to get a status updated on the ordered. No one answered. Ended up canceling the order all together after an hour.

Oh my gawd! This place is the perfect example of things I dislike about Yelp reviews. Review the food of the place. The atmosphere of the place, if you visit it. Rate it and review it for what it is. I am visiting, and just wanted delivery. On DoorDash, this place does well on reviews. On here, I got concerned. Decided to take the chance anyway, and I am happy that I did. The food is good. The Alfredo is more watery than thick, but comes with a lot of flavor. The Caesar salad is more anchovy than I like, but good. My delivery was fine. The pasta needed 30 seconds in the microwave, but I am downtown and my delivery person waited in the cold while I came down from my hotel room. Honestly, I figured the food would be cold due to the cold freeze happening. The whole reason I give this place 5 stars is to start averaging it out against the reviews that focus more on the delivery (which most likely is third party than the actual restaurant) and people ordering at 2 in the morning. Even my most favorite place in the world isn't going to be amazing at 2am in the morning. Give this place a shot. I would totally order from here or again or go visit if I lived here.

DO NOT EAT HERE. Their food is nasty. We ordered through DoorDash (which, confusingly, has super good reviews for this place - I should have checked Yelp too), and the order arrived pretty quickly, and the lasagna was STILL FROZEN in the middle but hot around the outside. Even after microwaving the lasagna, it was incredibly disgusting and totally inedible - and I am not one to be super pick about food. It was like Stouffer's, but 8x worse. The Ceasar salad tasted like it had gone bad already and they threw some dressing on anyway. We wound up throwing everything away. Super disgusting. I don't understand how they're still in business.

So I check out the yelp site for 12 South Bistro...and it's not a glowing list of reviews. They are mostly negative. Three pictures. But I have to say I've had it delivered twice and both experiences were delicious. The first was a dish they call Maison. Grilled chicken, shrimp and sausage with penne noodles in a Cajun Alfredo sauce with fresh onions and red peppers. Yes. This is very good. The noodle, the sauce, everything was well prepared and delivered so hot I had to be careful. The second time I had Chicken Scampi, Chicken breast sauté with mushrooms, roasted garlic, green onions and Portabella mushrooms in a garlic butter/wine sauce on angel hair pasta. And agin I say yes. At first glance it looked dry but that's because I secretly hope that everything will have a cream or Alfredo sauce. It was not dry, it was very flavorful. The chicken was perfectly cooked. I also had the stuffed mushrooms. Again, impressive. I'm going to keep diving into this menu. "Don't believe the hype." (Public Enemy)

I ordered my food through Grubhub (12south uses their own driver's NOT Grubhub driver's) at 2:44pm and it is now 5:55pm and my food has STILL NOT BEEN DELIVERED. This is ridiculous. Said they tried to call their driver 3 times and couldn't get ahold of him so they're going to send him an email? Are you for real? Try to tell me they're stuck in traffic...no one is stuck in traffic for 3 hours driving 15 minutes from one place to another. Never again, 12 south. Never. Horrible service, people on the phone were rude af when I called to check on the order. What kind of business are you trying to run!?
