One of the absolute best little gems to hit the East Nashville scene in the last couple years. The Lao menu that changes regularly never disappoints, and for all you sommeliers out there, their wine menu is top notch. Service is beyond stellar too. This has become a regular spot for my girlfriend and I for a fancy-causal late night date night. The vibes are immaculate. Cannot recommend Bad Idea enough!

Absolutely killer restaurant. Food was incredible! A lot of unique dishes and flavors that all hit hard in a great way. Scallop crepes were the star of the show, the veggie dish the owner recommended also really helped balance out the meal. Servers were awesome, space was beautiful, and wine selection was on point. Lives up to the hype.

Had an excellent dinner at Bad Idea. Our server Rachel, knew the menu, especially the wines, and guided us well. We tried the prawns, laab, scallop crepe, and fish main. We liked everything, with a special shoutout to the bass: wonderful accompanying sauces and perfectly seasoned and fried filets. We left stuffed, and the price seemed reasonable at about $100/person, including gratuity and two half-glasses of wine each. The dessert menu looked great, but we didn’t have room.
