I’ve worked with this bakery several times and consistently found them difficult to coordinate with for social events. From declining wedding cake delivery to requiring full slices for client tastings, the process hasn’t been easy. While the food is delicious, the limited flexibility makes collaboration challenging. I don't recommend using them for a wedding.

You have to be a person that likes sugar. Heavy on the sugar. The cakes I got with icing didn't have flavor (traditional chocolate, strawberry, confetti cake). The icing does. However, the icing is super thick and sweet, I guess to make up for the cake not having flavor. In my experience l with baking, the cake and icing should be good on their own and complement each other when combined. The lemon bar and chess square were good.

Excellent bakery! Stopped in this morning and was impressed with the wide variety of pastries. Everything looked delicious so it was hard to choose but the galaxy brownie caught my eye. I also grabbed the cinnamon roll and the poptart (which was a seasonal pastry). They all tasted so good but the poptart stood out!
Shoutout to Katherine and Cynthia! They had great recommendations and were very friendly and welcoming! I highly recommend you go check this place out!

The most delish wedding cake of all time! We had Baked on 8th make Gluten Free wedding cake for our big day and everyone was RAVING about how delicious it was. We ordered a smaller two tier cake, with an extra sheet pan as well. Can't wait to order my next special event cake with them :)

I ordered a red velvet cake for my friends birthday, the staff was very helpful and friendly. However, the cake was moist but with no flavor… the cocoa/chocolate was totally missing…$70 for a bland and somewhat salty cake, is unacceptable…

I have had many cakes from Baked in 8th and always loved how they tasted so I ordered a custom cake for my son’s first birthday and actually picked a very simple design. I was told they could do something very similar but without the orange slices because we were picking the cake up a day early, which was totally fine.
What i received was a cake that didn’t even look professionally done. I honestly think i could have done a better job at home (and I’ve made 2 cakes in my life). When I reached out to the baker, I was informed they hadn’t looked at the cake before it went out - which I don’t understand at all and offered a 25% refund. It was too late for me to get a cake anywhere else and I was too embarrassed to even display it at his party, so it essentially just went to waste.
I’m only giving two stars because it did taste good. But the decoration was ridiculously embarrassing. If you just want a premade cake, they taste good but I would steer clear of ordering a custom cake from here.

I love baked on 8th and it’s my go to spot for any treats or cakes! I do wish they would have better/larger boxes for the cakes. They typically come with the top open which can make it difficult to travel with. I wish they’d upgrade the size a bit.
