Wow. This place is insanely good. We had the margaritas and pineapple pisco - delicious. The ahí tuna bowl was perfect as was the street corn esquites and plantains. Everyone was so kind and food came quick!

New Mexican restaurant in the "12 South" area of Nashville, TN. Beautiful restaurant, with live Mexican music and singers.. I ordered something different, the Duck Mole', and I was surprised when my plate came out, it had a fairly large mound covered in what appeared to be Hershey's Chocolate Syrup, it looked like a "desert". But, as I cut into it I noticed the duck, and the dark brown sauce was not chocolate sauce, but rather the Mole'. It was definitely different, but delicious, and I ate it all Really glad I tried this dish!! And, did I mention the authentic Mexican singers were a nice (and fun) touch!! It's a very nice place!!

When we were seated, 3 staff members came by and made us feel uneasy about the need to commit to either order by online menu,thus pay all via QR code - OR - having a human server with paper menu. The thi g was neither had good descriptions of ingredients. When our food arrived by several different delivery persons (who didn't know who ordered what, thus who gets the tip?), evidently by clicking on one of the drinks to find out what kind of alcohol was in it, we had ordered it. Declining the drink was a major conundrum. 3 different staff members delayed us eating while they told us the process of a refund being a major ordeal all the way to "emailing corporate". I would've rather given it away to another table! This silly mistake took the fun and taste out of the entire meal, experience, and a birthday celebration. The other restaurants around Bartaco had an hour wait. Bartaco had none ...is this "high maintenance" the reason?

We came to Bartaco on a busy Sunday evening, we didn’t make any reservations, we just walked up. The restaurant was pretty full with a 20 minute seating wait for inside and a 45 minute wait for outside seats. We decided to order takeout instead and go find somewhere else to eat, and we were told a 30 minute wait for takeout. We took a seat at the complimentary waiting area outside and waited patiently. After almost an hour passed I finally got a text that my food was ready. The host, Dylan, refunded our food and gave us the meal for free! He was so kind and generous, even though we weren’t upset about the wait. He even gave us a ticket to use next time we come, which would let us skip to the front of the line for seating! Great service guys. And the food is delicious. :) 5/5

We need a bartaco in Portland, OR! I will miss this place. We loved it so much, we went there two days in a row! All food and beverages are made by scratch, on site, every day. Truly impressive. It gets insanely busy so call ahead! No reservations taken, but you can put your name on the wait list when you're on the way.
I had some sort of mocktail, it was grapefruity tasting and really good if you’re into grapefruit. I wish I could remember the name!
My mom had a corn with lobster in it and said it was her favorite and absolutely delicious. She also had the spicy pineapple and was very pleased.
Together, we had the 3 sampler with salsa verde, salsa roja, and the guacamole! We both really enjoyed the guacamole and salsa verde but didn’t care for the salsa roja.
I ordered a cold lobster taco and it was my favorite!!! The warm lobster taco was okay. Surprisingly, the cauliflower pistachio taco was my second favorite! The chicken and shrimp tacos were nothing special.
Besides for the food, this place has a decent but busy atmosphere. You should also note, servers only bring you food. You order yourself via QR code and pay that way too. I don’t love this, it lacks personable experience without much human interaction. Refills even are limited because they give you a pitcher for your drinks. I will say the little bit of human interactions we had with the food runners they were all very kind!!
A bit expensive.

Not that they need any more good reviews, but I just wanted to share that I have had a great experience every time I have eaten here. I live in 12 South and its one of my favorite places to eat. It can be challenging to get a spot sometimes because it is so popular, but if you go at the right time or are willing to wait, its worth it. The food and drinks are delicious and the service is great. Every time I have been here the staff and managers have been so great. Love having such a great place in our neighborhood!
