Leaving 1 star just because of the lack of communication with their schedule. We were visiting from out of town for the holidays and checked both website and social media to make sure they were open. We took an uber, made our way to the bar just to find out they were closed (12/26). I wish they had updated that info on their site or social media to avoid people coming all the way here for nothing.
We’ll try them again next time but hoping this helps the business for future. As a consumer, we were really upset. Thank you!

What a wonderful experience Bastion was!

From start to finish, everyone you interact with is a professional in their field, and it shows. Service is warm and familiar, the space is cozy, yet refined, and the food is elegantly presented and wonderful.
The passion and technical skill of the chefs is readily apparent, from their description of each course, to the bites you take that elude expectations in the best way possible.

I left last night, wishing I had another reservation for tonight. That's a rare occurrence for me.

This restaurant is most certainly worth your time, money, and attention, and I will be sure to return whenever I am in town. Well done!

WANT TO GO ON AMAZONING FOOD ADVENTURE! Of all the restaurants across the world, this place has moved to the top 3 we ever enjoy . First, the restaurant itself is an old 1900 warehouse with the old plaster scrap off the walls . Kinda reminded me of an old speak easy kinda place . They only seat 24 people at the restaurant side, so you have to make reservations. I would suggest during the weekdays because parking is a beast. We parked a block away, but it was worth every step. Service is excellent from the time you walk in till you hit the door back to your world . Chris, the manager, and his team do an unbelievable job taking care of you . It's such a relaxing experience. I could talk pages about the food, but a picture is worth a thousand words. Please take time and experience what everyone is talking about thru our pictures. Truly ADVENTURE if you love new tastes and not steak and potatoes meal which anyone can put out . If you have that special occasion for someone and share the experience together, this dining will last a lifetime.

Dietary restrictions: They will ask you upfront if there and restrictions they need to know about .

Parking: We had to park a block away but worth every step. Parking was reasonable priced .

Food, service, ambiance were fantastic. Despite being a pricey (but worth the price if you appreciate the art of food) reservation-only restaurant, the dress code is casual which I appreciate. Sometimes fine dining restaurants can come off as a bit pretentious but everything felt very comfortable and homey at Bastion.

You pay when you make your reservation. It came out to $501 for 3 people and when you get to the restaurant you get the option of adding a drink pairing. We stuck with ordering our own cocktails and the drinks (4 alcoholic, 1 mocktail) which came out to an additional $85. Tax and tip are included in everything.

There is a paid parking lot for Bastion but it's best to snap a picture of your license plate and go in to ask about validation before paying on your own through the parking lot portal. Bastion validates parking and depending how long you stay you can get a partial or full discount (3 hours for us was free)

The nachos, the end.

First half of the meal was excellent. But second half less so but might be due to our tastebuds. Most disappointing was seeing groups on either side of us having their birthdays etc acknowledged with cards whereas our wedding anniversary was passed over with not even a mention despite being included on the booking details. It felt like other groups were receiving more interaction with all members of staff - only reason we could think of would be that we aren't American. The restaurant has loads of potential but maybe needs to consider how you come across to international guests if that is who you are looking to attract.

Vegetarian options: Great for vegetarians

This experience was incredible. The service is unmatched. The restaurant is so vibey. We felt extremely catered to and that the staff truly were committed to their craft. My only teeny negative would be some of the courses were not mind blowing. Good, but for tiny portions and fine dining at this level I would want every single item to knock my socks off. Definitely will be back!
