Our server was amazing, he was super friendly. It was one of our guest birthdays and he put “happy birthday “name” on the screen. The food was also very good for the price.

Bar food at its worst! Went for Trisha's home cooking and got the worst bar food with no table service. Never going back! Very disappointed after all the promo I saw when bar opened. All lies!

We made reservations for dinner a few days before Christmas expecting to eat upstairs in Trisha Yearwood's Restaurant, I believe the third floor, however, we were told that floor was closed and we were going to be eating downstairs in the bar area. The change was not a big deal but was slightly disappointed. We ordered the Collard Green Wonton's for an appetizer; they came to us almost burnt. My husband and sons ordered the Catfish Sandwich, which was also overdone/burnt. My mother ordered the Buffalo Chicken Fingers, which were also overdone/burnt. I ordered wedge salad, it was fine, but let's face it, hard to screw up a salad. Overall, we were disappointed in the experience.

This place was amazing. Great atmosphere with the local patrons and cheap beer. I recommend stopping in and having a few before heading to the strip and save a few bucks.

The staff was very accommodating and made sure our experience was great. They also made sure the evening was special since it was my husband's birthday.Conrad our server was great and we had an awesome table as they promised ahead of time. We didn't “have”any Friends with us but we did “make “ Friends in low places”

Stopped here after having it recommended for a good spot with a pool table. No pool table which is perfectly fine, it happens. But, what's not fine is the place reeking and having a pretty clear stance on people that weren't regulars. Immediately ordered an Uber elsewhere, and while we were waiting the 5 minutes for the ride were told that we needed to immediately walk out the door. Would recommend spending money somewhere else.

I was told this place was a “hidden gem” in Nashville — a bar and grill where you can unwind, have a drink, and enjoy a fun night out. Unfortunately, my experience was the complete opposite.

The moment my friends, family, and I walked in, we were hit with the strong smell of cigarettes and stale air. But what stood out even more was the atmosphere — the entire bar went silent and we immediately felt unwelcome. The looks we were given made it clear that this place had a “locals only” or even “whites only” vibe, and that alone set the tone for the night.

We still decided to give it a chance and found a table in the back. When I approached the bartender with a simple greeting and asked for a Sprite, I got nothing but rudeness in return. He demanded my ID for a non-alcoholic drink, and even after I questioned why, he insisted on checking everyone in my group — all of us in our 30s and 40s. His tone, attitude, and the overall energy from the staff and patrons made it obvious we weren’t welcome there.

We left within five minutes, and honestly, it couldn’t have happened sooner. We gladly took our night — and our money — to places in Nashville that actually treat guests with respect.

If you want to feel comfortable, safe, or simply have a good time, this is not the place. I will never return, and I wouldn’t recommend The Batters Box to anyone.

This was different , a proper American bar, it's further out from downtown but still walkable, we spotted it going to breakfast one day and gave it a try after the game and were not disappointed, non tourist normal prices, nice outside veranda to watch world go by, decent pizza too

Reservation at noon on a Sunday for brunch. No one at hostess stand, had to go to bartender who wasn't sure what to do so she just sat us at a super short table you do not eat food at and no one ever came by to wait on us because of this. Went to ask another bartender about our reservation, told us to go to second floor and sit anywhere...but couldn't because second floor was closed for a private party. After 40 minutes of no service someone got up from a booth along the wall so we just sat there before it could even be cleaned off just to make sure we got a place to sit. They were already out of the brunch burrito that we wanted and several other brunch items, so did not get to enjoy the experience at all. Such an absolute mess in terms of whoever is managing this place. Really letting it go downhill and running Garth's name down which is tragic. So unorganized and mismanaged that it would be impossible to ever recommend this place ever.

Loved this place! Great music and atmosphere! Our reserved table had a great view of tv and live band. Highly recommend!
