Bolton's Spicy Chicken & Fish

Food was very good. Ranch is extra which seems odd if you've bought a meal. Other than a bit of nickel and diming, the food was very good. Side portions were a bit small. Would recommend.

I didn't even get to eat the food. The chicken has very foul odor. I'm pretty sure it was old spoiled. The person at the store was open and willing to give me a refund even offered to fix another order. However I declined the offer for another order. I wouldn't risk getting more bad chicken. I'm 32 weeks pregnant so I'm glad I didn't bite into the chicken. I made the purchase though doordash who only gave me half myoney back in credits. I gave 3 stars for service because the guy that answered the phone was willing to fix it. He even told me Door dash could the store and he'd verify things in order for me to get money back. But Doordash refused.

The best fried chicken, beans and sides. The people that work at Bolton's are super chill. A great spot for locals and folks who are visiting

This was one of the best fish fry that I have tried in a long time. Mild spice level was very similar to Indian spice level. Will definitely be back here again

stopped on a road trip because it was highly recommended. the food was decent and definitely spicy & it was nice to get a local hole in the wall experience. but they called a tow truck right after we ordered and we had to point out our car so it wasn't towed (which we parked in the customer lot) and then they asked us about the car 2 more times while running in and out of the store between customers to monitor the parking lot. felt weird to eat while worrying about our car.

I got the wings, quarter leg, catfish and fries at medium spice. For the best value, I think the quarter leg is best because the wings were really skinny and cost $13. All the chicken and and catfish was really juicy and flavorful. The fries were crispy and salty.

Super friendly service and great chicken. I’d like to think i’m pretty good with spicy foods but seriously listen when they tell you that the Mild is SPICY. That heat sneaks up on you so just be prepared.

Classic Nashville spot. I have gone here a few times and have enjoyed the food. However, it is over shadowed by many other hot chicken locations in the city in terms of quality, flavor, and price. Today was especially disappointing as the chicken was not cooked properly. I got a breast quarter but it was extremely over cooked. Dry and dark. And the worst part is, the inside between the batter was actually under cooked as seen in the photo. Side portions are much too small. Fries lacked seasoning, but slaw was good.
