I'm not sure if it was a staffing issue or if they were too busy (seemed at half capacity in terms of actual seats) we get there and wait about 10 minutes before we are greeted (the people before us tell us they've been waiting 15+ minutes some minutes after we arrived) We sit down and see almost every table has low drinks, empty plates, and concerned customers looking around for a check, their entrees, appetizers, etc. a couple of customers are walking around the restaurant trying to find an employee to speak to because it seemed they had been forgotten. After we waited an additional 15 minutes we were politely greeted but declined to stay as it had been 20 minutes past our reservation at this point to be greeted and we had already seen burnt food being served at another table. We politely declined and ate around the corner for our date night. The server was nice but seemed relieved to have another table taken off her shoulders, obviously not her fault, but feel bad for everyone involved in that situation.

I try my best to support black businesses, but it’s hard when you order 6 whole wings that are so tiny and you pay $19 for them, you can go to Walmart and buy a pack of whole it’s for $10 that’s bigger than what I had. Secondly, there’s an 8% service charge and a 12% gratuity added to your bill, so don’t expect an additional tip, when you’re already taking 20% from the bill. Thirdly the food is overpriced, I had a watered down jack and coke, 6 whole wings, fries and Mac and cheese to go and my bill was $74. Crazy thing is, I ate at Stoney River Steak house the night before and my bill was $99 for 2 people including dessert. Sorry, they will not see me again

Ocean took great care of my friend and I. The DJ was great and atmosphere were great, I would definitely recommend reserving a table with them for brunch!
