The waitress was slow. We were seated for more than 15 minutes before she took our order, and we barely saw her the whole time. I don’t think she said more than three words to us. We ordered Loaded baked potatoes and we’re charged a dollar extra. There were hardly any toppings at all, so we asked for more, and more charged for those also. The rims were 95% fat, the baked beans weren’t gross. Just overall poor food, quality, and poor service.

First time here after seeing Charlie Brown ICE! Every. Single. Thing. We had was delicious!!! Fried green tomatoes, fried catfish, wild game platter, onion rings, fritters, steak (perfectly cooked med rare) and gator with the dipping sauce. Yvette was a fun and feisty little waitress and was on top of it! Sorry I didn’t take pics til we were well into it! 🤣😂😋🥰

The catfish was muddy tasting, the ribs were chewy and dry, the baked beans were watery, the hush puppies were not chewable, the coleslaw tasted like luke warm cabbage. The server had to be asked several times to bring drinks. The tartar sauce was great.
The atmosphere was amazing. Like a hunting lodge. Indoor pond and bunches of animal mounts with a gas firepit in the center of the restaurant.

Red was the best! Truly gave us a level of service that you just don’t see much anymore. Food was good too but I can’t say enough good things about Red. Definitely someone that makes a difference in others lives.

I would 10 out of 10. Recommend this restaurant to anyone anytime.
We were in Nashville and we are looking for somewhere to eat that was close to the Opry Mall and we just happened to see this on the corner and we were like. Let's just go here and eat and we'll see what it's all about.
All of the stuff there was super nice. The building is super clean. It's big. There's actually like a little mini pond in there. They have real animals that have been taxidermied and the food there is excellent.
Our server's name was Griffin and we found out that he's actually in a band there and they actually have their own albums out. He had moved there from Minnesota and he works there as a server.
We actually ended up going back there a second time when we went back to Nashville the night before we were flying home and the server we had at that time was just as good as Griffin.
They have a cute little ice cream shop called Mimi's ice cream shop. That is just through a door in the same building that the restaurant is in.

This is a very large restaurant with a lot of seating and taxidermy. The service was great and very friendly. The catfish bites were great and very fresh. The ribs were not as great as expected. I definitely would not classify them as the best ribs in Nashville as they claimed. They were overcooked and fell off the bone, looking more like pulled pork. They tasted like they were steamed. The beans & okra were ok nothing spectacular. They both tasted like they were frozen or canned products.

You want some good ribs? Nah. You want some GREAT ribs, hell yes! There’s a reason they call themselves the best ribs in the world. Got a full rack, fell off the bone, barely any fat. Just the right amount of barbecue. I could’ve shown a picture, but then it would be just all the empty clean bone. Go here, now, for the liciously licous ribs

Overall, this was a decent place to eat near Opryland. I decided on the platter with Elk, Alligator, Stew, Frog Legs, and Game Sausage. The sausage was well flavored and the elk patties had a nice sear. The cornmeal coating on the Alligator bites and frog legs was very tasty. I also ordered the catfish nuggets which have the same coating. The major drawback was the stew. Very water and little to no flavor. The surprise was the complimentary corn fritters which came out first and had a nice amount of powdered sugar.
If I am back here, I would probably go for the rib and catfish combo instead.
The service was good and very friendly even though it was a very busy night.

All around good food, good service, good ambiance. Music was playing, but it wasn’t too loud, so we could all still chat easily.
