I love going to Chuys. I love the food. I love the people who work there. From the appetizers and variety of drinks and meals. We love the Elvis Presley. The atmosphere is friendly.

I had just gotten done with a long cold day in Nashville and wanted some Mexican food, I was down near the opry so I decided to stop here. On the outside it looks like the amazing Mexican restraunts I look for, but when I stepped in I quickly realized it's not at all what I wanted but by then it was too late. I decided to just take the risk. I sat down and the menu was tiny, barely any options. For what was on the menu, it was barely even mexican! I saw no Mexican employees. The chips aren't the greatest, it's served with some weird "salsa" (if you can even call it that.) It was modern pop music, not the traditional Mexican music I want for my experience. The queso with my meal looked like it came from a glass jar on the chip aisle at Walmart, the beans looked and tasted bad, but the chicken was good. It was definitely not worth 17$. Don't waste your time, your money, or your sanity here. If you do, don't have high hopes.

Gotta say I'm kinda disappointed in the main dishes. I'm used to Mexican Food having a better taste to it and not being so bland. I've heard from my friends that they love it but it didn't taste any different from any other Mexican spot. I've had some really good Mexican food but this just ain't it

This used to be a favorite spot back in the day but I feel like it's not what it used to be. Still funky and cute but not loud or obnoxious. The portions are smaller and it's gotten far more expensive. The chuychanga is tasty and cheesy but felt really greasy without a lot of chicken and we get way bigger and better at our local divey Mexican place.
However, the chips, creamy jalapeno dip, and the tortilla soup do remain the best thing about a trip there and are pretty much worth popping in if you're already at the mall anyway.

Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access for entrance, bathrooms, and lots of tables.

Love this location! They are the only one in Nashville with the cilantro/verde rice which is so delicious! Thais creamy jalapeño ranch is better than the salsa. Their salsa is delicious and made fresh! My go-to orders are their crispy tacos, chicken tacos and the Shirley!
