I love going to Chuys. I love the food. I love the people who work there. From the appetizers and variety of drinks and meals. We love the Elvis Presley. The atmosphere is friendly.

I had just gotten done with a long cold day in Nashville and wanted some Mexican food, I was down near the opry so I decided to stop here. On the outside it looks like the amazing Mexican restraunts I look for, but when I stepped in I quickly realized it's not at all what I wanted but by then it was too late. I decided to just take the risk. I sat down and the menu was tiny, barely any options. For what was on the menu, it was barely even mexican! I saw no Mexican employees....

This used to be a favorite spot back in the day but I feel like it's not what it used to be. Still funky and cute but not loud or obnoxious. The portions are smaller and it's gotten far more expensive. The chuychanga is tasty and cheesy but felt really greasy without a lot of chicken and we get way bigger and better at our local divey Mexican place.

However, the chips, creamy jalapeno dip, and the tortilla soup do remain the best thing about a trip...
