Horrible place! Don't waste your money. Portions were so small, waiter was horrible. Table and menus were sticky. Don't go to the bathroom!

This review hurts my feelings. I used to really enjoy dining here but this last visit kinda sealed the deal for me. We went on a Sunday evening, parking lot was nearly empty, should have been a clue. First, the place really feels run down, I know it’s been here a long time but nothing has been updated. Menus are old with updated “higher” prices written in sharpie. The service was decent but our server really didn’t seem happy to be there… I got the $30 ribeye and was very disappointed, a lot of fat and gristle that was inedible, the corn bread was still gooey in the center, the cole slaw was somewhat “dry”, like it had been put in a pot hours earlier and set aside for someone to order. The “pot o beans” and pickled onions were good though. A meal for 2 was nearly $80 plus a tip. Too much money for what we got. I hope someone turns this place around, it used to be so good.

When in area love to eat here. NEEDS more lighting walking to tables and restrooms, very dark poor lighting, rugs over floors. Hard to see where going, afraid of falling, held onto wall while walking

We stopped here one evening we was traveling through town and was very hungry so we stopped to try this place out did not know much about it from the outside. It looked odd and old inside kind of felt the same way but the food was amazing The sweet tea was very sweet and cold and they give you these aluminum cups to drink it out of. That was awesome and I ordered the catfish And coleslaw, white beans and green beans and let me tell you that was some of the best coleslaw I have ever ate will highly recommend it check this place out if you are in Nashville

We had high hopes for this place because it came recommended to my husband by a truck driver he met along the way. The pictures online of their platters are not realistic. We paid $26 for the shrimp and fish plate - two pieces of fish the size of chicken nuggets and five fried shrimp. The fish tasted like dirt. I ordered the $34 filet, which was apparently marinaded in Heinz 57 because it was disgusting. Extremely overpriced for the portion sizes, but by the looks and feel of the rundown building, I’d guess they are struggling to keep the doors open. I’m sure in its glory days, this place was great. Our server was terrific, though.

Updated review:
This place is absolutely in disrepair. Everything was filthy from the floors, menus, and tables being sticky like they were covered in syrup of years and years of grease. Overpriced fish, over salted french fries and slow service for a restaurant that wasn't busy at all. We watched a family be seat look at the menu and walk right back out. It makes me so sad to see a once loved place fall to bad management. If you do go watch for rotting boards on your walk up and you may want to pull out some disinfectant wipes.

Not sure if it was just this visit but I wasn't super impressed tonight. The best thing we ate was the coleslaw. Service was decent but not spectacular.

The atmosphere was good. Food was good. Not enough servers. My first visit. I had to ask for napkins and ask for refill twice before I got it. There were no spoons for the beans. Had to ask for the beans as well that were included with the meal.

Walked in , sat down, then after picking up a sticky menu and noticing how unkept the entire restaurant was, we left.

Outside area is dilapidated and dirty. Handrails actually has green fungus on them. Cobwebs everywhere and landscaping not kept. Food was average, prices to high. Menus are worn out with price changes made with marker. Have been coming here for 25 years. Last two trips have been disappointing.
My last trip!
