Neighborhood cafe mostly seniors dining they don’t tip. All food is thrown in the trash at the end of the day such a waste. Unsanitary cooler’s kitchen old and needs to be updated for safety and cleanliness.
the food is great. staff is very friendly.
Every 2nd Sunday Soul Food Sunday all you can Eat delicious
Husband and I ate here for lunch after reading good reviews. Seating not very comfortable or welcoming. Food overcooked line food. Coconut chicken OK. Took a long time to make a sandwich even though almost no one was there. I had finished my lunch before the sandwich came out. I had one meat and one overcooked vegetable dish. Tea. Husband had sandwich and water. Came to almost $30 with tip. Unfortunately, nothing about this was a $30 lunch.
When our son attended Lipscomb, we ate here a few times. Sunday brunch was always very crowded and there were numerous, interesting foods to choose from. After many years, we decided to try it again. We walked in the restaurant for Sunday brunch and there was only one table occupied. That should have been our clue to leave. The cream cheese bagel with smoked salmon looked delicious, but the bagel was so hard, we couldn't eat it. The pork loin was very dry. Bacon and fried chicken were okay. Green beans and roasted potatoes tasted fair and were barely warm. Only one dessert was available--a peach bread pudding. It was cold and tasteless. We could make as many trips to the buffet as we wanted, but there wasn't anything we cared to try again. I wish I had spent that money elsewhere. We will not be back.
Everyone at Tennessee Tiny Weddings loves Debbie Kohn Valentine and the Staff at Copper Kettle! The food is delicious and the service is amazing!
First time here...directly across the street from Lipscomb University. We went there around 3:30 pm on a Thursday afternoon...so keep in mind the timing of the day regarding the food review. The atmosphere is nice, plenty of tables, music was a little loud, not busy. This is a meat & three cafeteria style of ordering. So, being that time of day the food was probably sitting there for several hours under the "heat" lamps. Ordered the Coconut Crusted Chicken, Mac & Cheese, Green Beans. Wife ordered the same except with fried okra. Daughter ordered the Caesar Salad. Chicken was dry, sides just warm at best. The Caesar dressing is in a small plastic cup, which is fine, but is a very thick style dressing...need to dip the bites into it. It was a good place to meet and not crowded that time of day. The menu includes other options as well...wraps, other salads, numerous types of tea / soda, which is self serve..so all you wish to drink. :-) Check the menu online to review. Would consider going again but go early to get hot food.
Cutest little hide away spot. Great food, amazing atmosphere and the staff is A M A Z I N G.
Stopped in on our last day of a baseball tourney for brunch. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Even suggested a combo not on the menu which my husband tried. Super big portions, a lot of variety, perfect meal before getting on the road.
After looking for a decent place to eat close to Lipscomb academy. We checked out this place and although it’s not table service we agreed to eat lunch here. Their main dishes are served cafeteria style and salads, sandwiches etc are made fresh in the back. Place not much to look at, but the food is great. You come in, go through the line, order your food, pay for it and sit down. One of us ordered a salad with terragon chicken salad and was fantastic. Worth the visit.
