Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

The chicken pot pie just wasn’t good. Chicken cubes were rubbery, barely had any peas or carrots, was mostly sauce and crust.
Although I was ready for a full meal I only ate half.

Excellent place to eat. The entire restaurant has been updated with new brighter interior, warmer colors, even the kitchen. New items now on menu. The service, was very fast, food quality high, hot temp, and even checkout went fast. The unit on Stewarts Ferry Pike and I-40 in Nashville, is a winner. I live close and go often. Their desserts are awesome too.

My family has been coming to this location for over 20 years. Since the remodel, this particular store has gone downhill.
Our waitress took our order while standing at the register and typing it in at the same time. Instead of focusing on our order, she was more concerned with putting it in the register to send to the kitchen. It wasn't busy so there was no competition with other wait staff to get to the register.
The last three times I've been, it has taken over 30 minutes to get our food. There's been at most ten tables with guests, which means it was a very slow evening, yet the food wait time is still long.
No surprise, our order was messed up. She forgot three sides, put one side in completely wrong, and then didn't realize she had forgotten the third one.
The menu items have changed, and not for the better. Our white country gravy was as this as milk.
I just want more from my local Cracker Barrel.

The face lift looks good. But food took forever! The biscuits were cold, but the butter packets were literally melted. My server was doing her side work at my table while was still eating.

It was not a good experience. I ordered potatoes. Waited forever on the order, then, finally, when I asked, they informed me that they didn’t have any potatoes and I would have to chose other items. Plus I had to wait an additional forever to get replacement items which weren’t what I wanted and weren’t very good.

Vegetarian options: Careful, some of the veggies may have ham in them.

My fiance and I never really have issues here. But our waitress today made sure to make this experience terrible. We had to continuously ask for things. So much so that I had to give my fiance my drink because Sam found it nearly impossible to get her a refill. We will definitely be going to the Mt. Juliet location from now on

We stopped in for lunch and discovered this location was one that had been remodeled to the new design Cracker Barrel is using to attract customers. It's nice - different but still familiar. The menu has been updated, along with price increases. I have favorites that I usually get at particular restaurants and Cracker Barrel is no exception. The country's fried steak was the best I've ever eaten and the carrots and beans were perfect. The service was good too. I'll be eating at this location again.
