“The live Music ! The staff ! Great people and memories and good times ! See ya MAY 17th“
“With a twinkle in his eye and a skip in his step, music legend Ray Stevens, a mainstay in the industry since the swinging 60's, served up an auditory feast for a recent soiree at his CabaRay Showcase in the heart of West Nashville. Celebrating a special occasion - my wife's birthday - we found ourselves in the enchanted company of Mr. Stevens, a spry 84-year-old gentleman who seemed to defy the conventions of age and time itself. With Ray Stevens, one might assume that at 84 years young, the comedic timing could get a tad rusty, or perhaps his nimble footwork would be just a half beat behind. Well, let me assure you, that assumption would be as off-key as a piano out of tune. Stevens lit up the stage like a seasoned performer in his prime, tickling the audience's funny bone from curtain up to curtain down, punctuated only by a brief 10-minute respite to catch our breaths and the legend's. Sure, his voice might have been a touch softer than in his heyday, but it resonated with a warmth and vibrancy that conveyed his enthusiasm as clearly as a bell's chime. The ease with which he hit his tone and pitch was a testament to his enduring talent. Seamlessly intertwining yarns from his storied past with well-timed zingers - that despite their age, still got the belly laughs rolling - he was a maestro both of melody and mirth. Oh, the music! Ray served up a medley of his chart-topping hits and beloved classics - much to the delight of the audience, who couldn't help but tap their feet along to the beat. My personal highlight of the evening, however, was his stirring rendition of his Grammy winning, 'Everything is Beautiful'. It was as if time stood still when he started those familiar notes, and the audience was utterly captivated. His hands, though etched with the wisdom of age, became agents of rejuvenation the moment they touched the piano keys. Each note played was as vibrant and full of life as if the very essence of youth was flowing through his fingers. In a nutshell, folks, Ray Stevens has still got it, and he's got it in spades! This wasn't just a performance - it was a 5-star spectacle of nostalgia, humor, and musical talent all wrapped into one magnificent evening. I wholeheartedly recommend you snag tickets while you can! The magic happens every Saturday night at 7:30, and if you're in for a full treat, arrive early for a delectable dinner. The legend of Ray Stevens is alive and thriving in West Nashville. Experience it for yourself and let the good times roll at The CabaRay!“
