Sandwich was good but the bartender wasn’t really helpful about drink recommendations. I had left my drink on one of the tables and my friend went to the bathroom and they dumped the margarita that was sitting on the table for not even 3 minutes.
Dukes was an absolute blast. I came looking for a NY style dive and I got it. Bartender (Brandy) was the shit and I left knowing a handful of folks by name, with phone numbers, and with bar recos back in my home city. 11/10 will come back
Apparently, Duke's is a Nashville institution, as the aura there expresses that there is a lot of history, lots of love, and the utmost respect that the locals show to each other and others from another place. I was very comfortable and so was my dog Astro. In fact, (as usual actually) EVERYONE just loved Astro. The service was top notch....friendly and efficient and very likeable .
