Every single time I go there the staff is so rude. Sucks because the food is pretty good. This latest awful experience was when I tried to order online. Their preferred method of online ordering is through uber eats. After putting in my card info I realized they were going to charge me $22 for a $13 bahn mi. I tried canceling my order but it glitched and made the order. I tried canceling through uber eats and it told me to ask the restaurant to cancel. I went to the cashier when I got there and asked if they had my order and they did. I asked her to please cancel the order because the $10 charge and she said she couldn't because it was uber eats. I explained uber eats said it was the restaurants responsibility. She said she couldn't refund me. When I asked why their preferred method is uber eats which ads $10 to the total order she started berating me and embarrassing me as if it's my fault. People in line were embarrassed for me and even the cooks looked petrified. after her rant she apparently figured out how to cancel the order and I thanked her and walked away with people laughing. Honestly that will be the last time I go there.

I had a great little lunch at East Side Banh Mi. The chicken bowl was absolutely delicious, and a great combination of veggies, peanuts, chicken and sauce. I also got rolls that were a little bit on the dry side. The sauce was really thick, and I wish it was a thinner consistency.

I have been there twice now. I loved it the first time, but it was OK the second. I am picky about bahn mis but I’m so glad we have this place. What they do best is their bread And Pate. It is phenomenal. What I think is lacking is that their mayo is not as classic, and they could have more yolk in it. It’s a crucial part for such a specific sandwich.
One of the most underrated bites in Nashville is there crispy pork sticks. It’s like a Vietnamese eggroll but in rice paper and fried. I need them to sell these in larger packs because they are great!
