We ordered the pork and the no 1. The baguette has a beautiful crust on it while the middle has nice and chewy. The no1. Banh mi has a southern BBQ hint of flavor from the smoked bologna. The pork banh mi was closer flavor profile to to a classic banh mi. We'll come back and try the chix banh mi. I would recommend coming to

Finally made my way to East Side Banh Mi (sadly took me four years!). They recently updated their interior and it's so pretty inside, with booth seating as well as barstools along their glass windows. There's parking in front of the restaurant but I parked on the street for ease (free street parking FTW!). Decided to try their seasonal limeade which was blood orange. This drink was incredible! Refreshing and delicious! A true 10/10! I also got the shrimp spring rolls, which were really fresh but didn't wow me. The banh mi though, was INCREDIBLE! One of the best I've had outside of Vietnam. I tried the pork but want to order the steak next time. My other favorites were the sweet potatoes, which come with a delicious peanut dipping sauce. Don't skip the chocolate chip cookie, either! I got one to go and it was a damn near perfect cookie. Slightly crispy on the outside, slightly salted. So good! I can't wait to go back and see the great staff, who made sure I was well taken care of during my visit!

Still goddamn delicious! Y'all got me through the pandemic, and now y'all get me through life. Everything is so fresh every time. I've never had a bad order, and what's more, I've never had an incorrect order. I'm so glad y'all are here and have become such an established part of the Nashville restaurant community!

It is ok. Twice now I think there was too much sauce which made the bread soggy (even eating it immediately after they served it), and there was barely any tofu on the sandwich I paid $12 for. Flavor is good enough. Not bad but definitely overrated in my opinion.

Parking was a bit tricky but the food was well worth it. Best banh mi I have had in a long time. Definitely recommend the chopped steak and pork.

Unfortunately the vibe of this place has gone down hill over last couple months. The new girl they have working up front in the evenings is super rude. Will not be going back as long as she is there.

I'm absolutely obsessed with East Side Banh Mi! Their vegan banh mi sandwich is out of this world. It's bursting with freshness and flavor. The mix of sweet and pickled veggies is a total delight for your taste buds. And let me tell you, their crispy sweet potatoes as an appetizer are mind-blowing. I couldn't help but do a little happy dance after tasting their incredible food. The service was great. She brought it to our table. This place is decorated cute too. Parking in front can be difficult but there's more around the side.

Best Banh Mi yet in Nashville, bread made fresh on site with proper crust takes it to the next level.

Whilst in Nashville on a work trip I decided to venture towards downtown for dinner. Read several articles that talked about this little gem of a place on Gallatin. It's a small restaurant, about six tables and a bar length seating area. I ordered the shrimp and pork spring rolls and the crispy tofu & eggplant cold noodle bowl. My big complaint many times with spring rolls is that they're bland and the wrapper is pretty sticky or gummy. Not sure what magic they worked in the kitchen because these spring rolls were banging! They also lacked the stickiness I've encountered in others. Moving on to my cold noodles, the tofu and eggplant were seasoned well and cooked to perfection. The bowl packed a punch of flavor. Easy to taste why this place is mentioned in so many must try articles about Nashville. Next time you visit give it a try! Oh, and if you don't have time for a sit down, they have a bustling take away business too. Steady stream of folks picking up while I dined in.

probably the best sandwich i’ve ever tasted. The fresh bread is crispy, the ingredients are fresh, and the flavors just work so well together. the fried egg and chopped steak are my favorites but the pork is also just as good. Have to get a sandwich here every time i’m in town.

The space is pretty run down and doesn't appear well maintained. The bahn might was good but the bread was not the crunchy outside soft interior one expects with a true bahn mi.

Vegetarian options: Impossible meatball banh mi is one of the best vegetarian sandwiches in Nashville.
