Good lattes and coffee, friendly staff and a good environment to work/study in. Free refills on drip coffee which was pretty awesome and not often seen at coffee shops.

Great matcha, super friendly staff, cute ambiance, and their buttery pastries were solid! Definitely coming back.

TLDR: Apparently if you eat here they will put you to work. The coffee was good but that didn’t make up for tipping and still having to do these entitled kids jobs for them.- $40 ($5 tip + 35 burrito and coffee). After tipping I was still reprimanded and directed around the restaurant about where trash needs to go and plates to the other side of the restaurant. I took the plates off the table which was already more than I should be doing at a place asking for tips. Then I move all of my dishes to a spot where other dishes were sitting but that wasn’t good enough. I was told that I need to put the trash on one side of the restaurant and the dishes on the COMPLETE opposite side of the restaurant… I was waiting for them to tell me I need to go in the back and do the dishes too. And he was dead serious, yet still expect a 22% at a counter service place. I feel violated. I was in such shock I just did as I was told.

Great coffee shop. It would be even better if there were less flies.

Best overall coffee experience in Nashville! Imagine a coffee shop where the espresso is excellent every time, the shop is spotless, and the baristas are approachable and take the time to get to know who you are.
The whole staff is incredibly friendly and ensures that every visit is excellent.
The manager is also amazing! She isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty and help her staff. If I had a restaurant or coffee shop i would did my best to hire her and her team to run my business!

Discovered this coffee shop in the Neuhoff enclave on the river's edge of Germantown and love the new neighborhood.

Dude straight up stopped and prayed with another customer for literally ten minutes while i sat and waited for my drink. Lol. What?
Then he said “sorry for the wait” like he wasn’t standing 5 feet from me not working.
Believe what you want. God bless everyone. Just make my drink please.

I taste and review cappucinos all over the world (IG@igooogi).
Probably the best in Nashville? Great silky foam. They know their stuff. Great espresso. Beans have great character, darkness, and bitterness. Also, great customer service. Great place to hang or work from. Highly recommend. Wow! ? great flavors.

My first visit took me two time to circle the block to find it..I prevailed lol... it's the shop with the EYE on it. So I tasted a new drink today...The Zen was very refreshing..and it was iced I normally go for hot coffee..it was so good I forgot to take a picture for the review...I never imaged a lil bit of Lemon Zest could make such a big difference...I am sold.....I say try it...I will be back.

The Elegy honey bear bottles are iconic in Nashville and attract many customers to Elegy but this shop has so much more to offer. I had an espresso tonic, a honey bear latte, and an espresso and was sincerely impressed by the espresso tonic and espresso shot. The tonic had rosemary syrup and the flavor translated perfectly. I feel like this can be a hard thing to do in espresso-based drinks but Elegy did it successfully. The shot itself was balanced and showcased the quality of the drinks here. I enjoyed the honey bear latte, but it was far too sweet for me to drink comfortably without adding more black coffee to it when I got home. The food was also good and had a variety of options. They do have some gluten free substitutes available. Another thing I enjoyed about Elegy was the ice they use. This shop uses blocks of ice that don’t melt fast in your drink!
The vibe of Elegy Germantown is different than that of its East location. Both focus on greenery and a small+ cozy atmosphere but the Germantown location has a NY feel about it that makes it a treat to visit. The shop is clean and they don’t play their music loud. The only downside is size. There is plenty of seating outside but if you want to grab a coffee and read a book from inside the shop or hop on your laptop- I would highly advise against it unless you are here during non-peak hours. The shop can get busy and it is best not to use one of the few tables they have for multiple hours. This shop is most suited for a brief stop on your walk around Germantown.
If you are looking to find parking for this location, I would not expect to find a spot out front. Construction and residents of the nearby apartments tend to use the street parking next to the shop. Instead, I would park on 2nd Ave North and walk to Elegy. However, there is metered parking outside of Oku that guests can use. However, there is no parking redemption at this location of Elegy and parking in this lot can be expensive. Enforcement is 24/7 and parking patrol is pretty serious about this. Elegy has parking directions online for all of their locations.
Cute little coffee shop in Germantown. Friendly staff. Not too many tables but huge iutdoor are if the weather is nice
