This place is amazing. The food is delicious, especially their version of deviled eggs, I was obsessed. All the food was magnificent. The service was fantastic, I can't recall the gents name, but he was a tall drink of water, he was very professional and friendly. The atmosphere to me was more romantic, but I was with a large group, so we sat in a room towards the rear. All in all, I highly recommend this establishment. You won't be disappointed!

We always enjoy ourselves here. The staff is very attentive. They are always warm and welcoming. They food is outstanding. Their chicken dish is always a pleaser. Their gnocchi was beyond words. There burgers are spot on. We always leave stuffed. The prices are good for this level of restaurant. We will continue to go back when in town.

This will be a mixed honest review. This was a last minute reservation for a party of 15 of us. The drinks were good, service was good, food did take a little longer to come out but it was a group of us. I had the roasted halibut and I would rate that a 7/10 not bad. Some of my family had mixed reviews. The apps were good as well.

Ellingtons is a hidden treasure. It's located on the fourth floor of the Fairlane Hotel. I was in town for a cousins reunion and wanted to dine somewhere that would accommodate our party of 12 and offer something other than fried or hot chicken. I had hoped to dine on the wrap around patio, but since the weather was drizzly a seperate private dining room was set up for us. It was perfect. It was the best dining experienc I had while in Nashville. The food was excellent, the ambiance, so elegant and the staff's attentiveness made our party of 12 feel most welcome. Do yourself a favor and dine at Ellingtons. As a bonus it's located close to Bankers Alley which offers an after dinner music experience. Thank you Ellingtons for providing a beautiful closing memory to our family reunion.

My friends and I were in town celebrating a birthday and we booked this the same day. The food was awesome and our waiter Carey was a legend. Super friendly, attentive, and made the experience a 10/10!

Wish I could give it a 0 for service. I think this place has a lot of nerves being named after THE DUKE ELLINGTON. He wouldn’t approve. However, after reading through the Google reviews, I’ve noticed a resounding theme - and it’s a common thread of treatment and bad service to the same groups over and over. This restaurant is only for a certain group of people. So, for those who approve of that type of environment, you’ll love this place. Website “A cultural outpost…” … what was then is now at Ellington’s.” You got that right! No check-ins from the bartender “Cal”, nothing. No water. Only certain people got that service - WATER. No how are you? Mo
Thank you - even after giving a $26.00
Tip. Thankfully, I think the manager on duty noticed how neglected I was being treated and decided to offer me a beverage. This place is shameful! You can’t neglect customers like that. Don’t believe me just watch. This place will be out of business soon. You will reap what you sow!

Our server Jen was an absolute delight. Professional, attentive and very personable. We paid double price for an upscale steakhouse across the street the night before. Ellington's was just as good at half the price. From the hostess to the bartender every one was friendly and helpful

What an experience from
Start to finish. The food was immaculate, the service was on point and the sous chef Mario, came out and described each dish and asked for our feedback. The bone in ribeye was so flavorful, I would definitely recommend and for dessert, the decadent banana pudding was delicious. We tried a lot of the starters and entrees as we had a big group, and everything was fresh and tasteful. 12/10.

Beyond expectations in every facet! I felt like royalty. The smokin' Lola was "fire" and the service was like they trained their whole life to anticipate not only what I needed, but absolutely what I wanted.
I can't say enough positive things about my experience.
I personally tipped our chef because I was so impressed with the quality of the meal.
I know where I will be holding my next work function, in addition to my next personal lunch date with friends and family.
Perfection in every aspect of the meaning. Great job everyone!

The restaurant is inside a hotel and everything is designed with old school cool in mind. Even the bathrooms have old pictures. I had the Etta James and I recommend that. The chicken was tasty and everything on the dish went together. Portion size was good and everything was seasoned well.

I ordered my steak frites rare and they came well done. My friend's wife ordered the same thing with the same result. Neither of us mentioned it to our server because we were hungry and it was a long time before he came back out to check on us on the patio. An attentive server would've asked about the done-ness or our steaks upon delivery. Drinks were good. Truffle fries were ok. My date's lobster dish was outstanding an loaded with meat.

The place was nice, but not well attended... first sign of trouble. The menu was woefully short with a very strong emphasis on truffles. There was a chef special listed on the menu as a highlight, but they didn't have one made for the Saturday night we were there???
I'm not a fan of truffles nor was anyone else in our party, so the short menu just got cut in half. I got a lobster & pasta dish which was dry and over cooked. I think we now see why no one was there... time for an upgrade to the cook staff and head chef, before you go out of business!!!
Personally, I wouldn't recommend to anyone, based on my visit. A pretend high end restaurant without the credentials to carry it off.
