First, I want to say that the food I had was well prepared and tasty. The cocktail menu was very creative. Also, the server we had was excellent and did his best to explain the ordering process. However, I take issue with the steak dinner.
I was with a party of five. Three of us ordered the $125 steak dinner, which requires a minimum of two people, making it effectively a $250 steak dinner. So, for three of us it ran $375. The other two ordered the tasting menus, which allows diners to choose three items among twelve options for $75.
Prior to the steak’s arrival we received several bonus items, including deviled eggs, short rib, foie gras, among others. As with all tasting menus, I liked some items and did not care for others, but overall the quality was excellent. Essentially, the three of us received the equivalent of a tasting menu along with our steak. However, I was very surprised when only one steak came to the table. For that price, I expected each person to receive their own. It was a large (28 oz) Porterhouse, but still disappointing. Ultimately 90% of what I ate during the “steak dinner” was not steak. Overall, the bill for the five of us came to about $650.

Fancy Pants exceeded all expectations. From the moment I walked in, the service was warm, attentive, and professional. You get a complementary cocktail in an adorable glass cup. The plating was nothing short of art, every dish was beautifully presented didn’t disappoint in flavor. You can tell that a lot of care and creativity goes into every detail, from the ingredients to the presentation.

We celebrated Autumn’s birthday at Fancypants, and it’s easy to see why this spot has been buzzing. The open kitchen brings a level excitement to the dining room, and watching the chefs at work adds a flair that makes the evening feel special. The space itself is gorgeous. It's thoughtfully designed and completely camera-ready.
The menu is inventive, with dishes that show real creativity. The only surprise was the portion sizes, which were all over the map. Some courses disappeared in two bites while others could have easily fed the whole table. It made for an uneven rhythm to the meal, yet every plate was flavorful and beautifully presented.
Fancypants is one of those restaurants that’s clearly aiming high, and with a bit more balance in the menu, it's poisted to become one of Nashville’s standouts.

Okay the vibes here are immaculate. Food is top tier. But Tiernan our server, was phenomenal with customer service. He sent us everything that was the best on the menu and I have NO NOTES it was all FANTASTIC!
take your servers suggestions! But also have a fun time!! This place is such a fun location, head to cherries bar before or after for drinks and and the decor inside makes me feel like I’m in the middle of a high rise in downtown. This place BLEW ME AWAY!! Coming back with the in-laws. And that’s a compliment.

I don’t even have the words to describe our experience. From the moment we walked through the front door to the time we left was MAGICAL. Our waiter, Tiernan (apologies if this botches the spelling) was one of the best waiters and provided one of the BEST dining experiences we’ve ever had. I was there with my best friend of 24 years for a girls weekend and he and this restaurant were the HIGHLIGHT. Not Broadway or Tootsies or 12 Street. It was Tiernan and Fancypants. This is basically a Michelin star restaurant and I hope to be there with them to celebrate when they get their first star (or second and third!) There’s not a bad thing on the menu. There’s not a bad human in that building. The kindness is unparalleled. Run and I mean RUN to this place and stay a while. You won’t want to leave. Thank you for one of the best dining experiences of my LIFE ♥️

Look, I know you can’t always trust a review. But I honestly made the decision to do a review half way through dinner. Fancy Pants has an eclectic ambiance the second you walk into the door. An amazingly personable staff; we talked to numerous servers and hosts throughout the evening. The food was exceptional and inspired. The constant flow of dishes was the perfect pace. Couldn’t have picked a better place to have our anniversary dinner. You should go here.
