When I moved to West Nashville two years ago, I became a frequent customer of this Firehouse location. The draw for me is the ability to get a Lime Diet Coke from their drink mixer. I haven’t been able to find that combination at any other restaurant. Thus, for the past two years I have walked or driven over to order a large soda 4-5 days/ week. I had always had a good experience. The employees were nice and were so used to me being there that I no longer had to place my order. They would immediately just ring up my large drink when I approached the counter.

A few months ago, a woman started working there. They don’t wear name tags so I don’t know her name. She isn’t overly friendly and would occasionally seem annoyed that she needed to stop whatever she was doing to take my order, but it was cool. I’m just there for the Lime Diet Coke. But last week I had a day where I had a couple of errands to run. I went in for my soda and then ran next door to Publix to pick up a couple of things. I still had half my cup of soda left, but decided to pop back in for a refill as it had been maybe 10-15 minutes since buying it. I have done this maybe 4 times in the two years I’ve been coming in almost daily to this Firehouse. The first couple of times I had asked to make sure it was okay and had been waved off with a “ please, help yourself”. Again, they know me here. I’m here practically every day! But the next time I came in to buy my drink, this woman employee says that she noticed I came back for a refill a couple of days before and that she couldn’t allow me to do that. That if I left the store, I forfeited a refill.

So okay. If this is the rule, then I will abide by it. But it seems super petty for someone who you know comes into your restaurant daily just to buy a $4 soda. And that is definitely the way you lose a customer. So now I’m going next door to the McDonalds for a sad, boring Diet Coke at 1/4 the price. It isn’t as good, but I don’t have to deal with being treated like a criminal for wanting a refill.

I wish I could leave 0 stars. I placed an online order at this Firehouse Subs location, and my sandwich was made completely wrong. When I brought it to the counter to have it corrected, the woman working (who had no name tag) rolled her eyes and said “oh my god” as if I was inconveniencing her—when all I wanted was the sandwich I actually ordered.

That level of disrespect and attitude toward a paying customer is unacceptable. The experience was incredibly frustrating, and I will not be returning to this establishment.

The customer service here is the worst part of the entire place, and the staff should be ashamed of how they treat people.

Had a terrible experience ordering through Uber eats. Orders a buy 1 get 1 sandwich and 2 bottles of water. Total was $14. They only gave the Uber delivery guy the waters- knowing the total was $14 and clearly missing something. HELLO I ORDERED FROM A SANDWICH PLACE….no sandwich?? I called in a panic because I am diabetic and literally need food to survive. Spoke to the so called manager and they did not care. They can look for my hospital bill when I go into ketoacidosis. Will never get my business again.
