Visited Frothy Monkey in Nashville recently and overall had an okay experience. The outdoor seating and ambiance were definitely the highlights — relaxing, welcoming, and a great spot to sit and chat.
We tried a couple of their drinks, including the Irish Coffee and the Monkey Mocha, but unfortunately neither really impressed me. Both tasted a bit underwhelming and felt like they could’ve been much better given the reputation of the place.
They do offer a full food menu, which is nice, but since we didn’t try the food I can’t comment on that part.
Great atmosphere, average drinks — worth a visit for the vibe, but I’m hoping the beverages improve next time.

I stopped in for the first time Saturday morning and I will be back for sure! The Capri sandwich was phenomenal and the Havana coffee was perfect. When I eat at a restaurant, I value the service and hospitality I receive and let me say, Kaya and Kristen went above and beyond. Kaya was so helpful when I was looking over the menu and answered any questions I had. Kristen was very knowledgeable when it came to the coffee’s and I am so glad I went with her recommendation. Everyone in the restaurant had smiling faces which was so refreshing to see! I will recommend this place to all of my friends!

I really don’t understand the hype about this place. And I’m not really picky when it comes to cafes! But here is why I don’t think it deserves the hype (at least in this location): There is always a long line and minimum of 15minutes to 1 hour wait time, coffee is mediocre, tea is actually not good, staff are ok, breakfast is mediocre at best (not even that), breakfast menu is not that diverse! I went a couple times because I had a gift card, but probably won’t be back.

My family of 4 came here and we were all thoroughly impressed with the friendliness of the staff. Everyone was superb and went above to make us feel comfortable. Not to mention, the coffees, hot chocolate, and matcha we ordered were each made perfectly. Wish this place was in my home town because I’d come here all the time if I could!

It’s kind of entertaining watching the staff goof off in different ways while a long line builds up. One guy spent ten solid minutes playing with a trash bag like it was a new hobby—AirPods in, totally zoned out—before finally remembering to get it into the bin. Then he grabbed a paper cup and rewarded himself with a nice cold draft beer. Incredible work ethic. I might apply here just to vibe.

We stayed at the Gilmore hotel right across the street . So convenient. A super cute, quaint coffee and restaurant. Coffee was GREAT and food delicious ! Highly recommend for anytime.

I come every Monday. Food is always amazing. Nicole was my server today and she’s the best server I’ve had at Frothy Monkey. Despite being busy, Nicole brought everything out at the correct time, Checked in with us regularly, made sure our customizations and accommodations (allergy) were noted, and she was overall a wonderful server. Sometimes when Frothy gets a little busy it’s hard for some of these servers to check in or be as accurate, but Nicole had no problems! Nicole’s attentiveness today was greatly appreciated and I’d request her next time I come in. She’s the best server I’ve had at Frothy Monkey!
