45 minute wait - we never got notified of our table being ready through text so we had to go back to the front and ask for an update. The food was delicious, biscuits and gravy were great, biscuit board, quinoa bowl, and drinks. Kudos to the chef! The service was pretty bad. Our waitress lacked any enthusiasm, left our waters empty and didn’t come back for over 15 minutes after dropping off the food. If the food was poor, I would’ve easily rated this place lower, but the FOOD was great. The poor service brought down the energy and atmosphere of the place and my partner and I wanted to leave much sooner than we could.

I’m not sure what it is about Frothy Monkey, but it’s addictive! We stopped by on a journey to Nashville, and have been buying the coffee beans in bulk ever since. 12 South is our personal favorite, but we haven’t found a coffee around the country that compares yet. Don’t hesitate to let them be that morning fuel you need to get through the day!

The line was very disorganized with no communication and multiple people skipped the line with no repercussions. After waiting outside for 30+ minutes I was disappointed to find out the line continued inside for double the time. After finally reaching the front I was told that the drink I came for was sold out, with once again no communication. The coffee itself was good but the cup was mostly ice and there were very few sips of coffee actually there. Overall a big disappointment and not worth it.

Service wasn’t great- took the waiter about 10 minutes to initially greet us. As this location is always packed, I wasn’t super surprised. I got the basil grilled chicken medley bowl with the sprouts. It was disappointingly bland. The coffee is all decent, I got two drinks while I was there this past time. I’ve had better visits in general, but I recommend going not on the weekend to receive a bit better service.

This was sadly so disappointing. We ordered a side of roasted vegetables and the BE Hive Bowl which is pictured. The bowl is roasted vegetable based as well and this is what we opened the container to. I fully understand when you do take out, the quality of food can change but these vegetables were terrible. It smelled like airplane food & the texture was straight mush. It also had zero flavor. We didn’t eat either.
The honey lavender latte had a nice subtle flavor not being overly sweet which was nice. The matcha vanilla latte however had zero matcha flavor- you could only taste the almond milk so it wasn’t that good.
Staff however is very nice. We were greeted immediately and taken care of right away at the take out counter. There was a mix up on the order originally and it got fixed quickly. We were also refunded the extra charge.

I’ve dined at the frothy monkey multiple times over the years and always enjoy eating here whenever I am in Nashville. The food is excellent. The staff is great and the atmosphere is cool and quirky, a bit loud but cool. Everything here is good.

Was excited for this place but it ended up being our worst meal on our whole trip. The atmosphere and service were great, coffee drinks were okay, but the food was actually pretty bad. We split the chorizo and red pepper biscuits and gravy and it was honestly probably the worst biscuits and gravy either of us has ever had. The biscuits were tough and chewy, everything was lukewarm or cold (different bits were different temps) despite it not being crazy busy, and the gravy had no flavor. Didn’t taste like anything and was pretty watery. Maybe it’s that we’re both from the Deep South and know our biscuits and gravy, but we were both disappointed when we left. Every other meal in the area was great, and maybe other items on the menu here are better, but we won’t be back or recommend it.
