This is such a comfortable and cozy spot. I really love the view from this location — it’s the perfect place to sit back and watch people and the rain pass by. The coffee was great, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Definitely a nice place to relax and unwind.

Great atmosphere and friendly service, with genuinely interesting coffee offerings. Plenty of seating inside, plus an upstairs area that works well if you need to use your laptop.

This place is a vibe and I give it two thumbs up! Today is my last day in Nashville for work and my colleagues and I decided to try Frothy Monkey in downtown for lunch. Upon entry, we were warmly greeted by the host and seated at a nice booth. Our waiter came over to welcome us and offer drink and food options. He was incredibly friendly and suggested the arugula salad with salmon. I ordered the salad and it was delicious. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the balsamic dressing was a hit! Everyone enjoyed their food and was really happy. The ambience is cute, the staff are pleasant and the food is delicious.

We were downtown Nashville and walked up to this location. Worth the walk for the atmosphere and service. Prompt and mindful service with solid and delicious meals. The avocado and smoked salmon toast was a perfect amount and the coffee had a delicate balance of hints of cherry. We will definitely make this a must stop next time we are in Nashville.

came in from out of town needing to do a little work on my computer and didn't realize this place was more of a restaurant than coffee shop. I didn't wanna take up a table for just a cup of coffee so Whitney the nicest hostess in the wide world directed me to the bar. As I have a bad back, all the chairs were backless, so Whitney went out of her way to get me a chair that had a back on it. Now I'm getting my work done, my back is feeling good, drinking one of the best cups of coffee I've ever had in my entire life and being so thankful for people like Whitney in this time we live who still value kindness and southern hospitality. Give that woman a raise!!!! xoxoxoxox Chris

In Nashville for a few days, this was our breakfast/lunch stop 3 mornings in a row. Short walk from our hotel, pleasant staff, engaging interior, great food, and great value. Highly recommend! Veggie options, though not sure they were all vegan.

The coffee selection is fantastic, especially with the custom versions from the FM. I tried the Havana Latte, and Natalie’s fresh OJ was also wonderful.

Definitely try the loaded biscuits and chorizo gravy. It’s so good, and the biscuits are so fluffy that they stay soft even after soaking up the gravy. I also enjoyed the fresh cinnamon muffins.

There’s plenty of space to move around downstairs and upstairs, but I really liked the window area with natural light.

The service was very friendly and quick.

Second time coming to this location had a great experience the first trip. Today was definitely different than we expected considering how great it was the first time. Food took so long once the food arrived they had messed up one of the dishes. Management was top notch she took care of everything for us hats off to her. She was working her butt off. Will consider coming back our server wasn’t the best but seemed new!

Absolutely awful food here. The biscuits and gravy were the worse we have ever had. Seemed like the chorizo was actually hamburger but either way, it was absolutely drowned in average tasting gravy. I can’t explain it other than you can tell these people aren’t actually from TN because they have zero idea on how to make biscuits and gravy. It was the worst meal we have had in a long time. Avocado toast was fine but the egg was rubbery. The coffees were great. We had rosemary honey latte and the seasonal latte (I believe it was called campfire- had smoke, maple, etc). Would recommend popping in for a coffee fix but avoid for breakfast. Absolutely awful food.

I had such a fantastic experience at Frothy Monkey! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. Our server, Hailey, was absolutely outstanding—attentive, friendly, and on top of every detail.
I ordered the Havana latte, and it was incredible—perfectly balanced, smooth, and just the right hint of sweetness. For food, I got the shrimp and grits, and wow… they were bursting with flavor. Creamy, savory, and beautifully seasoned.
Overall, this visit was a 10/10. Great service, great food, and great vibes.
