We had a very disappointing experience due to an undercover manager named Kaisa, who appeared to be on a power trip rather than focused on customer service. We were dining as a family with two small children and were initially directed to the very back of the restaurant. We politely explained that we preferred to sit at the front tables, where there were outlets, merchandise, and visibility so that the friends who were meeting us could easily find us. This wasn’t a demand — we clearly expressed our preference and directly asked if we could sit there instead. Kaisa’s response was abrupt and dismissive. She flat-out said “no,” with no explanation, no attempt at compromise, and no consideration for our situation as a family with young children. There was no effort to be accommodating or even courteous — just an unnecessary show of authority. The interaction felt less about restaurant flow and more about control. Good management is about flexibility, communication, and hospitality, especially when the request is reasonable and the tone is respectful. Unfortunately, this experience lacked all of that. We just left, and the business lost out on our money and our respect.
FM is our favorite lunch spot when visiting East Nashville. Food is amazing - healthy, whole food for everyone in the family! Excellent service every time.

Went with a girlfriend for brunch and had an amazing time! Their speciality coffees are delightful and their Italian sandwich is the best I've EVER had!

Bleached hair server guy rudely had to correct everything I was saying. I left after sitting for 3 minutes. Rude.

Great coffee place in a quiet area of town. We loved the vibe and the coffee was great. Staff was very friendly and you can tell that many locals come here on the weekend.

We went in there on Saturday to order some coffees to enjoy while walking around. I ordered the Havana Latte Iced, my son ordered the Log Cabin Iced and my husband ordered a hot Southern Roots. The wait time for 3 coffees was 25 min, which the girl that rang us up did let us know. However after waiting 25 min they called my name, there were 2 iced drinks and 1 hot drink sitting there. I asked which iced drink was which since we had ordered 2 diffrent drinks. The barista that made them said it doesn't matter they are bothe the same. I told here what we had ordered amd she said they were out of the stuff for the Log Cabin, so I assumed they just made 2 of the Havana Lattes. They didn't offer to make anything else or do anything for the mix up. I took the drinks because I didn't want to make a scene. Turns out the iced drinks were something completely different, had a strong ginger flavor, which none of ours had in it. My husband's Southern Roots was literally just a cup of black coffee. No cream, no sugar and not even espresso. so we paid $25 and waited 25 min for terrible service and drinks we didn't even like. We will never recommend this place again and will not be returning to spend our money in this establishment.
I’d like to start off with WOW (Owen Wilson voice).. I didn’t catch his name (taller, shoulder length blonde hair) but WOW WOW WOW.. as a barista of 12 years, I’m rather picky with my lattes and used to bland warm dairy products especially when I visit shops out of my home state.. did I say WOW already? The milk was frothed PERFECTLY, stopped me in tracks and I had to say something.. the key to a perfect latte is the microfoam and this kid has the gift.. very very satisfied..
