To seat people outside with lame cotton (!!!) blankets when the temp is 30 degrees is such an egregious money grab it's disgusting. And No heaters?! I have championed this place since pre-tornado days and am just beyond disappointed. And PS servers were beyond rude . Just a shocking experience as I bragged on you to friends for so long, only to take them there to have such an awful experience.

This is one of my favorite spots typically but we were sat in the patio and it was so cold outside. This typically isn't the case but our waiter told us the fire marshall took away the heaters and it just made for a poor experience. The food was immediately cold once it was on the table it was so cold outside and it took a long time for the food to come out while we sat in the cold. Sad that it was a poor experience for our of town guests

My friends and I had an amazing experience here. The decorations were beautiful, the food was delicious, and the service we had from Kasey(sp) was amazing! She went over and beyond for our table! Definitely will be visiting again!

The food was outstanding and the staff was amazing. The atmosphere was great and was overly loud/crowded. We love this place!!

I was disappointed since we were told we HAD TO order the starter course and the entree at the same time. We were told by the server that the chef needed this information to plan out his time in the kitchen. I felt this request indicated the chef was not an expert in fine dining. We have never been requested to do this at any restaurant we have been to in the last 50 t years. This put me off! Therefore, we did not order an entree and just ordered a cheese and meat starter and a salad. Also, I was not asked what type of vodka I wanted for the martini I ordered. I was given Titos. I was not happy about that, but felt it was the way they did business. Also, there was a sharp piece of plastic/glass in the salad. The server was notified and they took the charge for the salad off the bill. The service was good, the restaurant was clean, servers were polite and attentive. The selection of cheese on the board was outstanding. The dessert, a ginger cake, was dry and pasty. I suggest they stop telling patrons how to order. I would go there again, only if my party said they wanted to go there. I would not suggest the place to the group.

Everyone from the Hostess who sat us and suggested where to park (for free), to the waitress who was very patient and helpful with our ordering, to the employee who took our picture as we were leaving were extremely friendly and happy. We ordered the pork belly and brussels sprouts appetizers which were both DELICIOUS! My daughters both ordered the Sea Bass. One of them is lactose intolerant and could not have the compound butter so they made hers with other ingredients and both dishes were excellent! I ordered the chicken and mine too was superb. We all enjoyed the leftovers for lunch today. Can't wait to go back and enjoy another wonderful dinner at Geist!!

My guests and I had a fun dinner at Geist. We were seated in a side room but next time will specify the room with the fireplace. Beautiful holiday decorations still in place which was nice. We got there early enough for happy hour. Took advantage with apps of Caesar salad and lemon ricotta. Both were good and enough salad for more than two people. Also had the steak tartare which was very tasty. Our entrees included scallops, pesto risotto, pasta bolognese, and salmon. Everyone was very pleased with their choices. One guest and I shared the sea bass. The fish was ok but the entire dish came at room temperature. Must have sat too long before serving. We had asked our server to delay the entrees until we gave her word we were ready. Unfortunately, they came while we were still enjoying our apps and we had not yet asked that entrees be fired.

DON’T TRUST GEIST! I made a reservation ELEVEN WEEKS in advance to come in for drinks and shared plates (half of the menu is shared plates). Less than 24 hours before our reservation time they sent an email saying unless we agreed to a $50 pp minimum for “full service dinner” our reservation would be cancelled and we would have to wait in the line for a bar seat. When I questioned this, I was told the policy was not in place at the the time they accepted our reservation, but was newly implemented because they were “so busy because of the holidays” (which I assume means over booked.) I was also told to be prepared for the line for a bar seat “to be down the street”. If Geist chooses to have a $50 pp minimum that’s fine, but to decide to do this less than 24 hrs before our arrival is shady. I recommend going to one of the many other RELIABLE restaurants in the area that won’t leave you scrambling for a reservation at the last minute.

Initial reaction was a not so warm welcoming from the female hostess. It was almost like she had a long day, maybe she is going through some things or just had a bad day. She did not smile at all even though I greeted her with a great mood and smile. I felt as though she was rude with me but I’m going to overlook it because of what I mentioned before. As for the reservation, multiple times my friends have tried to get into the balloon garden room to have dinner and they have failed to make that happen. The rules regarding that is understandable but during the time that we were there no one was in the room but maybe one table, we could have been served and gone. As we waited to be seated the bartender attended to us and her service was excellent. The drinks were lovely. When we were finally seated we decided to finish our drinks and leave. The mood was ruined for me in particular even though I know that our waiter was going to be great because he attempted to try and accommodate us regarding being seated in the balloon garden room but told us the rule and why we couldn’t go in there. To sum it up, people will enjoy it at this restaurant, but for me I have way more choices in Nashville to ever feel this way and return back here.

Really disappointed I took my mom here thinking it would be such a fun Christmas experience I usually never leave reviews as I’m a server myself but when my mom is treated that way it makes me upset the server didn’t go over anything on the menu barely checked in on us and checked on the table next to us like 5 times I get being weeded or busy but I still work to give my tables a great time so it’s jarring to have this level of service when spending $200, we had undercooked scallops for an app and then overcooked entrees. Will always tip 20% but yikes wish we had the server in the striped sweater he was great at all of his tables

Last minute trip to Nashville and a friend from home recommended this spot. It did not disappoint. We stopped in and grabbed a bar seat. Very happy with the drinks and food. Highly recommend the lamb and duck rigatoni. My favorite part? Fun set of bartenders. You will not be disappointed.

So disappointed. Made a reservation a month in advance only to sit for 25 minutes and never have a server come to the table to even say hello. Parking lot wa full so I had to pay $20 just to pour myself a glass of water and be ignored. The decorations are beautiful, yes. But service is AWOL. Won't be back.

Our waitress was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. Our drinks were delicious, and the Bob Evans chicken was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was fabulous, and the Christmas decorations were on point.
