Delaney and Brandon in the downstairs bar are the epitome of professionalism and friendliness. They are an absolute vibe, while being completely different vibes. You'll know when you them. I had such a good time talking with them while enjoying the vast selection of bourbon. Cannot recommend this place enough.

We only got the smoked wings when it comes to food, but they were perfectly crispy and delicious. I could go on for hours about the experience, but 5/5 will have to do. Give it a Michelin star

Went to Gertie’s for dinner and drinks with my boyfriend last night and had the best time, thanks to the wonderful staff there! The drinks were fantastic and whiskey list is incredible. The catfish bites and duck breast were incredible. The risotto with pico de gallo wasn’t my favorite, just felt like the combination was a bit of a miss, but my boyfriend enjoyed it.

What really made our experience was the two new bartenders, Brandon and Delaney. I used to go to Gertie’s often but hadn’t been there in a year and a half. Both of them were newer employees and it was clear they are growing their passion for whiskey and cocktails. They were so nice and easy to talk to, helped us customize some coffee cocktails, provided wonderful service even when they got busy, and they made us want to come back more often! Highly recommend sitting at the bar at Gertie’s next time you’re in the Gulch area.

We came in for dinner and drinks with friends and had a great time. The food was mostly good, but disappointed in the tartare. It is pre ground ahead of time instead of being ground to order. This allows the meat to oxidize and start turning grey. It was under seasoned and missing something rich like an egg yolk.

The whisky was the main reason we came and their selection from Gertie’s bar is very impressive. Unfortunately 90% of the whisky is massively overpriced which was a huge let down. I occasionally would like to splurge on a high end pour, but in some instances asking more than the price of the whole bottle in the liquor store for a single pour is egregious.

Best whiskey bar in Tennessee. Staff are next level! Truly the best staff in Nashville. Owner and head chef Matt Bolus is a pro. His amazing leadership has directly influenced every aspect of the 404 Kitchen and Gerties Whiskey Bar. Whiskey Wednesdays offer half off select whiskey. Live music every Wednesday and Thursday from 6-8. And you can order the full menu from the 404 kitchen. The Matty Melt and the Trout are phenomenal!
