The wait staff was amazing , fantastic wine selection and the after dinner lemon cellos were the perfect way to cap off the evening . Will definitely be back , excellent atmosphere lots of fun. Lots of laughs.!

Watch out for the host if there is a famous person there. They will Tell you to stop bothering Blake Shelton . When your trying to use the bathrooms upstairs. So rude! Spent a lot of money to be treated like that. Oscar was amazing!!

This is my favorite restaurant in Nashville. There’s no better Italian food in the city. Every time I am here I realize I’ve forgotten how good a meal can be. Service is always great as well. Complimentary valet is the cherry on top.

The apps stole the show. They were very good - we had the burrata and the sausage and onions. Our entrees were average. The cacio e pepe is extremely oily. Service was only okay. We weren't in a hurry so no real reason to complain, but took 15-20 minutes to even take a drink order and another 20-25 to place an order for apps.

Beautiful dining setting with outstanding service, wine list, appetizers, entrees, and desserts. The pasta and fish dishes were scrumptious. Reasonable prices in a neighborhood setting with convenient car valet service.
I haven't been here in several years and it remains the best restaurant in Nashville for an intimate dinner. You don't have to shout to be heard it's quiet and dark. The service is impeccable and the food is fantastic. I think I'll be visiting here more often.

Ten years ago we had our wedding reception dinner at Giovanni and it's been a yearly tradition (except 2020). The staff is always professional and courteous (thanks Chris), and the food is simply delicious. We highly recommend Giovanni!

Night out with friends who had not been to G before. They loved it! Spaghetti and meatballs - guest said best ever. My branzino was excellent. Veal scallopini was excellent. Service was attentive and very much a team approach. Looking forward to our next visit!

After eating all around town for the last week, we needed a good italian meal to cap our trip off. This place did not disappoint. Food, service and atmosphere is top notch. Can't wait to come back.

Ok so why did I give it overall 4 stars but rated everything individually as 5 stars? Two reasons: 1) I did not like the bread and olive oil. The olive oil had no spices. It was straight up olive oil with toasty bread. Personally I prefer soft bread and I like the spices on my oil. 2) The price was really high. I paid $55 for half a bottle of wine and for the three of us it was just over $300. The food was really good but I still did not feel likeIt was a $300 meal.

Excellent service and we had a great dinner experience. My only complaint will be how the restaurant is listed on the app. The menu is very special, but the pricing guide is way off. Most entrees are over $50, but worth it. So it should be listed at $$$$. If someone is looking for a reasonably priced dinner experience, this isn't it. More a special occasion place. JMO
Amazing service and food!! Great price compared to how outstanding the food tastes and how great the service is! The gnocchi was our favorite!! Hope to come back next time in Nashville!!

My husband and I traveled to Nashville from Raleigh on 3/1/24, and attended a reservation made by a friend on 3/2/24. The atmosphere was fine, definitely something from a classic film (very dark and intentional). For the restaurant to have received such decent to good reviews (overall) we were expecting...more. The wait staff was knowledgeable, but not quick to react (considering how many of them there are, compared to the amount of tables). The food was...not ideal and far from authentic. I order the arugula salad, which came with wilted greens covered in mediocre dressing. My entree was the Branzino, which was just "okay" at best. I ordered a few Manhattan's as my drink of choice. Those were also, just "okay".Long and short: Lyndsey and Michael (recent reviewers) are correct, it just isn't what you'd expect. Maybe they've expanded beyond their quality control capabilities?
