One of the best sandwiches I've had! Perfect size, mix of flavors, and completely unique. Bought a loaf of spinach feta bread also!!! Will 100% be back!

I stumbled upon this spot right before they were closing for the day (which I didn’t realize at the time) and the staff was so welcoming and friendly! The food is amazing and I cannot wait to be back!

I did not expect this to be the best stop on my 17 hour road trip, but it was. I initially stopped here to redeem my birthday reward but found myself in one of the kindest, most welcoming environments I’ve ever been in! Kayla was the sweetest cashier I’ve ever had the pleasure of speaking to and Miss Margaret prepared a delicious sandwich that was out of this world. They did not need to go above and beyond, but they did. They were kind to me without knowing I had been having a bad day, and the whole establishment is a reminder to be kind to everyone, because you never know what they’re going through.

We were visiting the Parnassus Book Store and stumbled across this bakery, which is in the same lot. Unfortunately, we only brought one loaf of the nine Grain Whole Wheat Bread home with us. This is a well crafted b read, dense and full of flavor. We had two oatmeal cookies, the raisin and chocolate chip. Yummy!

Hate to do it, but after my reserved sourdough loaves keep getting given away, when I say “PLEASE DO NOT GIVE THEM AWAY, I will ABSOLUTELY show up on either Friday or Saturday” That is my word, and I have done so twice now and both times I get “we never heard from you, so we gave it away”. I have never not shown up on either Friday or Saturday. They are kind enough to offer to reserve them on Thursday, and I appreciate and commend them for that service. However, what’s the point if they just give it away and claim you never followed up? I am always able to pick them up Friday or Saturday, and it is always communicated up front. This time I asked ok, well do you have others that are reserved? Maybe it is my turn to get one and someone else can receive the bad news instead of bread. Never seems to turn out in my favor. No one stands to gain anything from leaving a (deserved) negative review with a bread company, but I have never had this issue with any other business when you give someone your word. Hopefully this helps anyone from being let down in this same fashion. The product is worth the money, no complaints on price point as with other reviews here. I would genuinely love to know the magic words it takes for someone else to sweet talk them into giving away someone’s reservation. At the end of the day, it’s just bread and business, nothing personal or worth losing sleep over. Hopefully your harvest experience is more fruitful than mine.

Love getting bread from here. It’s so delicious and healthy. Each loaf is heavy so that makes me feel like I’m making a good decision in eating this bread.

I love Great Harvest—all the baked goods sold there and their typically friendly staff (particularly the owners)—and I have gladly supported their small business for at least 25 years. However, I encountered an employee today who seemed less than enthusiastic to see me walk into the empty shop or to assist me, and who pointed out at check-out that I could “tip the crew” (for pulling my own 2 loaves of bread off the shelves, apparently) and then said nothing at all after I finished paying for my purchase. My sincere “tip” is to treat others as you wish to be treated. I hope the employee was just having an off day and that the owners might reel in the ask for tips (unless employees have prepared food from their menu for a customer). If employees feel they need to ask for tips with each purchase of a loaf of bread, it’s concerning. Hoping my next visit is more of a typically pleasant one.

Good bread if you like a heavy bread in contrast to what you buy in a grocery store.
We eat mostly great harvest bread in our house.
But it is heavy enough and they slice it thick so that you won’t want to make a sandwich with it.
They should slice it thinner.
