I love Great Harvest—all the baked goods sold there and their typically friendly staff (particularly the owners)—and I have gladly supported their small business for at least 25 years. However, I encountered an employee today who seemed less than enthusiastic to see me walk into the empty shop or to assist me, and who pointed out at check-out that I could “tip the crew” (for pulling my own 2 loaves of bread off the shelves, apparently) and then said nothing at all after...
Good bread if you like a heavy bread in contrast to what you buy in a grocery store.
We eat mostly great harvest bread in our house.
But it is heavy enough and they slice it thick so that you won’t want to make a sandwich with it.
They should slice it thinner.

What a lovely place! Everyone was so friendly, welcoming and helpful. The sandwiches are sooooo good! Obviously made with love like your grandma made it specially for you! All the ingredients are fresh and delicious! We also got cookies and bread - so very delicious, nothing overly fancy just real ingredients and obviously a solid recipe! We will definitely be regular customers from now on!
