It's good fried chicken. It's also what I would call gentrified: tourist-friendly, aesthetically driven, and not all that spicy if we're being honest. None of that is bad if your expectations are in the right place. The chicken is moist and well-seasoned and while I didn't find any of the sides incredibly exciting, they balance out the spice from the chicken. The staff is welcoming and the line (much shorter at this location than the downtown one) moves quickly
Hattie B's is a solid option for your hot chicken fix, but I'd go one level hotter than you think you'll want for a truer experience.

A must-try spot for Nashville hot chicken. Choose your spice level carefully—the “Medium” is already quite hot. The sides like mac and cheese are also excellent.

We had to wait in line for almost an hour for our 1st visit but the chicken was worth the wait. Service was good and atmosphere was cool. Not a lot of room to maneuver around,especially since it was packed but we loved it and the grits were on point. Next time I’m in Nashville, I’ll just call in a to-go order.

Wanted to try some Nashville not during my pit stop here, and I wasn’t disappointed. Portion sizes were good and the cheddar bacon grits nearly made me cry. Lots of seating options with an outdoor patio and sports on the TVs. The manager was a gentleman and passionate about his work, and it shows in the food. Recommend 👍👍

Big jumbo wings not an ounce of seasoning in the inside of that chicken!! Grits were very good, baked beans was good like they recommended!

My husband and I disagree about Hattie Bs and Princes, but Hattie Bs is by far my favorite. I don't do spice because of stomach issues. Their no spice has a flavorful breading and isn't spice hot in anyway. Princes Chicken's no spice blisters my mouth & even their fries are too spicy for me.
We almost always have great sservice at Hattie Bs even with it being more of a fast food order at the counter restaurant and you usually get your own drinks they still walk around and make sure you don't need anything.

the spicy chicken sandwich is ACTUALLY spicy!! that made me so happy because spicy takeout is never spicy. go there everytime im in nashville, would definitely recommend

Every time we're in Nashville, we have to go to Hattie B's. Tonight did not disappoint. Such friendly service, hot food, and very tasty. We'll be back.
