Absolutely delicious! The combinations of cocktails and food really was spectacular. 70s night was super fun. Keep an eye out! #chefsdeal

Fantastic cocktail bar in a non descript building. The food is limited, but great, and the cocktails are wonderful. Highly recommend their Pisco Sour.

Delicious food!!! We had like 6-7 items from the menu and I can't even say which one was the best. Just go and enjoy it yourself!!!

What a great little find. Stuck in Nashville without plans and stumbled across this little gem. Campbell is the terrific bartender. Perfect cocktail atmosphere. Nice, quaint, comfortable.

Henry James, located in popular East Nashville, is a unique bar that offers an eclectic menu which changes every 3 weeks. The high-end tapas menu includes dishes like trout and green rice, beef chimicurri, and oysters, all of which are farm-to-table and based on what is in season. In addition to their amazing menu, the bar has recently started offering free salsa classes every Sunday, making it the perfect date night spot! The atmosphere is always welcoming, and the people are great, no matter what day of the week you visit, which is perfect for a Nashville local such as myself. Henry James is a must-visit for anyone looking for great food and a fun night out!

Henry James is a wonderful spot! I recently visited Henry James for dinner and it was excellent. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff were friendly and attentive. I started off with the oysters which were absolutely delicious. They were fresh, juicy, and had the perfect balance of saltiness. The craft cocktails were also impressive, with a wide variety of options to choose from. I particularly enjoyed the unique twist on the dinner dishes! Overall, I had an incredible experience at this newly taken over restaurant. The new executive chef Joshua Cook and Pastry Chef Ana Aguilar have done an amazing job at creating the menu. Highly recommend!

Completely disappointed since under new management. Cocktails are more expensive and taste awful, service is very slow, and vibes from the second you walk in are just off. This used to be one of our favorite local bars with good music, darts, and fun/knowledgeable bartenders. Now I don’t think we will ever go back.

You have to experience this place for yourself! There is NO place like this anywhere else in Nashville!! The vibe and energy is SO FUN and contagious!! I learned how to salsa, the drinks were great and the company is phenomenal!!!

Under new ownership and now has weird vibes. The last few times we’ve come there’s always new bartenders. Now the prices have gone up, asked the bartender for a common drink and he didn’t know how to make it and instead made a lousy $15 old fashioned. Dart boards are gone and replaced with terrible art. This used to be my favorite bar and now don’t plan on returning.

I love this place. It looks like nothing from the outside. I think maybe it used to be a bank? Inside, it's the coziest, loungiest bar and is full of good vibes. Love the jukebox. Love the pool table. And plenty of space to meet friends and hangout.

Great atmosphere, plenty of room, the food was so much better than it should be. Bartenders are great.

Easily my favorite cocktail bar in Nashville, and that's saying a lot because there are so many cool spots around. There's just something about the vibe of this place that hits all the right spots. It feels like a cigar lounge and a dive bar had a baby and named it Funk. They somehow merge pool tables, darts, big booths, and cocktail tables all into one seamless experience. The low lighting and retro decor will make you feel like you stepped into a slow disco song. The large and unique cocktail menu offers a variety of flavors for all palates and preferences. I'm a solid old fashioned person, but the Southpaw they serve is one of my favorites. Their spicy paloma is an excellent twist on a classic. The bartenders are always incredible, even when they're super busy (which is almost always, because this bar slaps). The ONLY drawback to this bar is the parking. Their lot is pretty limited and fills up quickly and the surrounding areas will ticket and tow if you're not careful - so an uber or carpooling is definitely recommended.
