I adore this place. They have the best banh mi’s in Nashville (the Korean BBQ beef one is my favorite) and amazing Banh Cuon. I had never tried Banh Cuon before and the woman that worked there was so sweet and let me try the vegetarian one and the pork one last time I went. I highly recommend this place as they have delicious authentic Vietnamese food and great service!

Quiet, small, no-frills shop that has a very friendly owner and authentic Vietnamese food. He makes his own food for sell, I got a couple items and they were delicious! Will return.

I came in today and tried to purchase the ham meat. There was no one in the front register but noticed there was someone in the back. So i said hello can someone please check me out. A gentleman came up and was brutally rude. He commented “you just got here and already want to check out!!” I did not believe he did and said what he said. I paid and told him if this is how you treat and do business with your customers then i will never come back. He replied “i dont need you”. So off i went. This is a Vietnamese owned business. I am Vietnamese by the way. I like to support local businesses and support my people but under this circumstance it does not happen again. I shouldn't have even bought that, should have just walked out. This is not how you treat your customers. Any business w/o customers is going to be hard to keep their doors open.

Today I went to Hoang Tofu market to buy one, but I didn't see anyone in the front of the dress. Then I raised my voice to pay, but I didn't know that the woman who was usually in the front wasn't there that day. Today, a man came out to pay the bill and said he just came and asked for the bill. Doing business and talking rudely to customers is not a good point. After that, I paid and said that if you guys do business like that, I won't come to the store anymore, then that man said if I don't come, then I don't need it! It said the wrong thing. Doing business in America is worse than fish sellers in Vietnam. Rude and uneducated people like this are not worthy of doing business. If you like and support this store, please do so, but I won't continue to support it anymore.

Best Vietnamese place I have been to in Nashville.

We had the Banh Cuon, Bun Bo Hue, Pho, and Banh Mi (Combination + Tofu) - def. Recommend!!!

We also had the Coconut Pandan Jello and def. Recommend as end of dessert.

The Banh Cuon was fresh and delicious, they made it with a ground pork + wood ear filler, and served with Bean sprout, cilantro, fried onions/shallots, and Vietnamese fish sauce - so good - I grabbed from Thai basil from the noodle soup dishes to add in for additional flavoring.

Bun Bo Hue - if you are into spicy - this is for you, flavored perfectly + super spicy (try before you spice it up more) (did not get a photo)

Pho - really good Beef Pho - well balanced (did not get a photo)

Banh Mi - Combination - my fav. Ended up doing the by 5 get one 1 free so we can eat more later :)

I love their banh mi’s. It’s often hard to find good viet food that’s not in SoCal or in the Texas area and to me Hoang Tofu feels like home.

Three wows for this spot! Their sandwiches are absolutely delectable. We savored the bò hàn quôc (korean beef), a dumpling, and dôī lōngh (coffee jello) – all delightful choices. Already planning my return to explore more of their menu. Just a heads up: bring cash or be prepared to spend over $10 to use a card.

I always go here for their banh mi and their banh tet thit and banh chung.

The banh mi is great! I think it's a perfect size for the price. They're not as big as some other banh mis you might find around (those are more expensive), but I think they're perfect as they are; I like to finish my banh mis in one sitting anyway. They sell them Buy 5 get 1 free at $5 each (2023 prices, may rise with inflation), so for $25+tax you basically get lunch for the entire week. There are a ton of options too. It's my go to when I know I have a busy week coming up and limited time to make food!

They also sell a lot of things you can't find anywhere else. Banh tet thit and banh chung being some of those. It's absolutely delicious and everything I was looking for. I'm super glad this place exists in Nashville, otherwise I'd be forced to try to learn how to make these tough dishes all by myself.

They keep the place very neat and clean, but the ambiance doesn't really lend itself super well as a dine-in place. I love it as a place to quickly pick up some pre-prepped banh tet thit and banh chung from their fridge, while waiting a few minutes for them to prep your banh mi (they're fast!). I bring those home, store my haul of banh mi in the fridge and when I'm ready, heat it up in the oven until the bread is a little crispy, then stuff in the veggies they sometimes package on the side for you when they know you're not eating all of them right away. I also store the banh tet thit and banh chung in my fridge, then cut it up and heat it in the microwave when I am ready to eat those. Usually all gone within the week!

Going here is my dose of happiness, I love this little place!
